book 2: Char is home "by force" and is being used for her link to Pax. On the flip side Zaxx is using her to get the crown. So Char is between a rock and a hard place when truths come to light.

“Dragon God” is the first book in The First Dragon Rider trilogy.
Neill Torvald’s mission is to learn arcane magic from the monks that will help to cement his father’s power, but Neill will need more than magical arts alone to navigate the challenges before him. Char, who senses evil deep within the ranks of the Draconis Order’s members. She takes Neill to a dragon she has raised, Paxala, and the three of them become fast friends.
“Dragon Dreams” is the second book in The First Dragon Rider trilogy.
Char discovers the secret of the old queen’s crown in her father’s castle, learning a tale of dark magic steeped in blood. But when her father wishes to marry her off to the leader of the Wildmen, the fate of Torvald will depend on her difficult choice: accept the role she has always played, or learn to trust her own power.
“Dragon Mage” is the last book in The First Dragon Rider trilogy.
When the mysterious Dark Prince arrives with an offer, Neill will have to make a decision that could change the course of history. Neill must choose between his own desires and the welfare of the entire kingdom.
Ava Richardson writes amazing stories. These books are reminiscent of Ann McCaffrey’s “Dragonriders of Pern”. It is an exciting, fast paced adventure and I recommend all dragon fantasy lovers read/listen to it. Both Neill and Char are characters you cannot help but like. They are very real and relatable. I highly recommend this trilogy!!! The audiobooks are narrated by Tiffany Williams who does a wonderful job.

Coming of Age with Dragons

This was an excellent story and Tiffany Williams gave a stellar performance.

Neil Torvald the illegitimate son of a warlord is sent to the Draconis Order to learn about dragons. There he finds friends such as he never had while living in the shadows of his brother.

Char Nefretti, a Princess, was harboring a secret that would change the friend’s ideas of dragons forever. Together they would fight the evil threatening everything to include the dragons themselves.

I read this trilogy when it first appeared, anxiously awaiting as each book came out. I can’t say that I remember anything about it, but it does seem to my mind that the revised version tied up loose ends. I truly enjoyed this version that I received as an ARC Audible copy, and was given no pressure or incentive to review favorably. I freely give this modern copy a five star review.

Excellent Audiobooks

I read all three books and loved them. Listening to the audiobook series increased my enjoyment to a whole new level. Tiffany Williams does an amazing job of bringing the dragon realm to life with her creative vocalizations. This audiobook series is truly worth the time it takes to listen.
