About this listen
This book helps clarify why the answers to our prayers may be delayed and gives practical advice for walking in faith and hope until God's release comes.
If we are to mature into greater dimensions of kingdom fruitfulness, then we must commit ourselves to understanding how God uses delay to refine his chosen ones. Intensely passionate and practical, this book is written from the crucible of the author's own personal crisis of delayed answers.
This is not a book of platitudes, but of powerful insights that have come through the fire. May your heart be enlarged and your faith expanded as you consider the great blessings extended to those who wait on God alone.

Take a tender look at the issues of depression, reproach, and why God sometimes waits so long to answer our prayers. In illuminating the nature of this shift in consciousness, Tolle describes in detail how our current ego-based state of consciousness operates. Then gently, and in very practical terms, he leads us into this new consciousness. We will come to experience who we truly are and learn to live and breathe freely.

The subtitle of this work, "Defeating Sin with Superior Pleasure", says it all. There is godly pleasure in applying the faith that first saved us in everyday circumstances, defeating the unbelief and lies that Satan throws at us. Fighting those lies, and the resultant anxiety, pride, impatience, and other sinful attitudes that trip us up, with what Piper calls "the purifying power of God's truth", blesses us with peace as we see God enabling us to live by faith in his promises and his grace.

Story
Is praying a duty or a delight? J. I. Packer and Carolyn Nystrom say that it's both; an essential, expected practice as a follower of Christ, but also a privilege and joy. As we start out learning to pray properly, however, the delight often seems to be missing. Here is practical help for active, honest praying that involves all of who we are - heart, hands and head - and moves us to deeper obedience, joy and intimacy with our Father.

When A. W. Tozer was a young preacher newly ordained into the ministry, he wrote a prayer that he published 30 years later under the title "The Prayer of a Minor Prophet." Fifty years after his death, Dr. Tozer's prophetic writings and sermons continue to deliver God's Word to His people. The test of a prophet is that his message transcends generations; even when he is gone, a prophet's message remains fresh and vital.

Every person on the planet was born for significance, created by God to make a difference in his kingdom. Fulfilling God’s purpose is a lifelong endeavor, but it comes with a cost. God is a perfect father who looks for chances to pour blessings into the lives of his children. But he is also a father who loves us and doesn’t want to increase our blessing beyond what we have the heart and maturity to carry well. What does it look like when significance is carried well? God is glorified, we are strengthened, and the people around us benefit.

Top of his writings
I've been a fan of Sorge's since "Secrets of the Secret Place." But this one surprised me on how practical and thorough it was for me. Because of Bob's infirmity, I believe he has tremendous insights that most of us simply could not see. I am grateful that he took the time to write out all the gemstones the Word has about this subject. This writing is at the top of the heap- very grateful to have listened.
