Concise overview of the events

I enjoyed reading this book. The book is written in a sharp and easy to read style presenting an historical overview of the key events associated with the lead up and the fall of Constantinople. This format of historical has merit for providing a quick summary of the key elements of historical scenarios and is an excellent precursor to a subsequent more detailed analysis of points of interest that may emerge from the overview.

1000 year history succinctly compressed into a few

like the humor in this otherwise tragic history. a fantastic story that shows the root of the Islamophobia of the west.

I haven't started to follow the tips.

The story is retold in a modern manner and helps the reader understand the broader picture of the siege of Constantinople as more than a local fight.

The Fall of Constantinople, Captivating History.

One of the all time great stories. A movie script would be appropriate. Can't wait to listen to this audible again. Don't let this one go.

Excellent addition to my library.

This is a superb account of the fall of Constantinople. It is objective, it gives the deserved due to the religious division of Christianity, and it is interestingly written. The book is relatively old now, but I don't think there has been a better account since. The author is a good historian and has the ability to turn any history stuff into a story.. I highly recommend this book.

Probably very good...

I have not yet received this book from Amazon, so it is a little difficult to say what it is like. But I am sure it will be at least very good. Captivating History has the excellent author team.

Brief but good. Can be done in one sitting.

Good history. First of all, I am 43 years old and I love this series. I've learned so much these books. They're extremely informative and certainly most fascinating. I've learned more from this series than I did from history class in school.

Detailed analysis of points of interest.

Like most of the Captivating History Books, this one is a well written short read. It covers the basics, contains details and sparks your interest to continuing one's research on the subject. Highly recommended

Not much detail but an excellent summary narrative directing to the fall of Constantinople and rise of the Ottoman Empire.
