Just What I Needed!

This audiobook came into my life at the perfect time. It’s all about taking control in a way that doesn’t feel overwhelming. The self-hypnosis techniques and meditations are super calming, and they’ve helped me shift my relationship with food in such a natural way. I’m eating more mindfully and not giving in to cravings as much. The affirmations are a nice touch, too, giving me a boost when I need it. It’s easy to follow and fits perfectly into my routine.

Empowering approach to weight loss

As I get older, the more weight I seem to gain, even though I am generally a physically active person. A huge part of this is my metabolism slowing down, but another huge part of it is stess eating but also boredom eating. Over the past few years, I've grown increasingly frustrated about my weight gain and will admit I've fallen for a range of "celebrity diets" and diet products promoted by celebrities. The reality is, nothing has worked, and I hate putting restrictions on the types of fooods I eat. I also have a few friends, and one family member who also struggle the way I have. All of this to say, I fully appreciate from my own personal experience how hard it is to find a "diet" or weight loss solution thats sustainable.

I was skeptical about what this book would say about losing weight. But ultimately it was a breath of fresh air as it's not like other books on weight loss. I am passionate about meditation -- I even have a room in my house designed specifically for this -- but it didn't occur to me that meditation, self-hypnosis, and mindfullness could be used for weight loss! The focus on these things aligns with my inherent belief that each of us has the power within to create lasting change -- if we do it right!

So, with all this being said, I apprecaite the book's focus on rewiring your mindset, rather than trying to restricting what you eat.

I highly recommend this for women who have tried and failed to lose weight - it might be because what they're trying isn't ultimately sustainable. I think this 2-1 book could really help.

This book combo includes a lot of information.

I did not know so many things could affect a person's weight. I had to take notes because it was a lot to take in all at once. I also liked the meditations included with the audiobook. I was able to get comfortable and let the soothing voice take me to where I needed to be.
