sometimes hard to know what experience level is the focus. some good beginner focus then mid level focus. with a few hints for experienced. I did learn fron listening. maybe more appropriate for Video.

A great guide to understanding wine from around the world. I recommend trying the wines on the list with friends to share the experience and knowledge.

The narrator is amazing and gives lots of good tips. the attachment to this is wonderful. this is one of the best Great Courses I've taken.

Super great foundation

If you like drinking wine but don't really know more than the casual wine drinker, this course will be easy to follow and will take you far beyond what most wine drinkers know. You will never be intimidated by a wine list again. Just the opposite. You will be curious and knowledgeable enough to try new wines and build on your wine appreciation. I had been to many wine events/dinners which I enjoyed. But, in restrospect, these events didn't do much to advance my understanding of wine. They were just enjoyable events. This course will build your framework for understanding wine...and all your wine experience going forward will be more enjoyable and productive.

Please do more wine education!

I'm a Somm and I enjoy geeking out to audiobooks like this. It's also better than the videos since I can listen to it at my preferred speed. This has a lot for beginners and good reminders for everyone else. Grateful to have this as a resource and "quickie" reminder. The topics are surface skimmed, but enough to inspire a deeper dive of exploring on ones own. Note: some of the info is out of date (ie sparkling dosage percentages to classifications).

Enjoyable & informative

This course was an excellent introduction to the world of wine, and the presenter was both knowledgeable and entertaining. The structure of the course was intriguing as well, for this is one that you not only can read about in the accompanying materials, but you can also participate by acquiring the suggested wines and tasting along with the teacher. I also appreciated the world wide introduction, pointing out Excellent resources from many cultures and regions.
