About this listen

Do you fear the darkness? Do you fear the pain and terror within?

It wasn’t my fault. I didn’t mean to look for things I wasn’t supposed to. I didn’t mean for death to come after me. I really didn’t. But it still happened.

I’m Zoran, and my name is the only thing I remember about myself; not why I woke up in a forest, not why I taste blood in my mouth, and certainly not why I see weird screens in front of me. Ever since I first woke, all I wanted to do was find out who I really was. But what I didn’t expect was for my search to spark something that was never meant to happen.

It has started now. I can see it. Cities will burn and towers will fall. Chaos will descend the heavens and ravage the earth. The darkness is coming, and the world will tremble in its wake.

Loved this book, where is the rest?

I absolutely loved this book. The only problem I have with it, is it is the only one in audio form. 😢

Amazing job bringing this world to life

loved the print version of the book and this just made it even better because they brought the whole world to life. Made this book just that much better with the narrator doing a wonderful job with the story.

Eh...

Wasnt bad, wasnt great. kinda lost interest with all the mary sue stuff. I like the concept, but there is no good vs evil. both generically named sides are jerks and the mc, turns out, can whoop them whenever he wants. The lvl scaling is also kinda messed up. wow had a problem with number inflation after 6 years. this dude did it in his first book. so much so, that everyone powerful has to get knocked out after one punch that miraculously always takes them down to 10% without killing them. it's lazy

an average book that shows small promise

this is average book that shows average promise has good potential is an opening for a series but they need to spend more time on the story and less on the fights well the fights were excellent it just didn't have the impact on the store East Side and they need to spend more time on the mechanics as well well they did a good job that can do better

The performance is really good but the story is so boring. I got about 5hrs into it before finding something else.

blah

Big battle that the main character is losing? Just bump up his skills randomly... The deus ex machina interventions were blatant and frequent. Why even give the guy a level if he's just randomly going to ignore the level when it's convenient? The amount of environmental description was almost non existent. There was a battle in a "forest" to start off the book. Then a battle inside something like a cave maybe? Then pretty sure there was another battle "outside." Main character was not extensively developed as a person and seemed superficial. Lot's of cliche's and standard tropes. The story was like something a friend of mine in middle school would have written on notebook paper and given to me to read. Did not like.
