The Beginning of a wonderful series
Where does The Elk-Dog Heritage rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
One of the very best series I have had the pleasure of reading/listening to.
What was one of the most memorable moments of The Elk-Dog Heritage?
The return of the Blood Society just in time!
Have you listened to any of Rusty Nelson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Not as of yet. but he did a wonderful job
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Most definitively!
Any additional comments?
If you enjoy being brought back in time, into a world of fiction but actual history, you'll love this series. Don Coldsmith did an amazing jobof not only researching his facts, but blending the multiple cultures into one of his very own creation. The "People" could have really been a tribe in the US, these people could have actually have lived through that time. But, from his own words - he blended two different tribes to create this one.

As it was a very long time ago.
Continuity of each character’s thinking and actions. Visual descriptions enough to envision where things took place.

Not the first book in this series.
Although this is a excelent book/series, "The Elk Dog Heritage" is not the first book in the series. It is actually book 2 of a series of about 20 books... All very excellent.
The first book is "The Spanish Bit" I have never read it and cannot find it anywhere!

Good listen.
We enjoyed the Elk Dog Heritage by Don Coldsmith. Having read the Elk Dog books years ago, it was good to re-connect with a time in history from long ago. Good story and Mr. Nelson does a good job with the narration. Will definitely buy the rest of the series from Audible.
