The cases are unrelated, but they twist around each other like the double helix of a DNA strand. One leads to the discovery of a killer operating in the city for as many as three decades; the other to a deep political conspiracy that reached back into the dark history of the police department.

Another great Harry Bosch story just when you think you have it sorted it takes another turn and holds your interest all the way to the end!

Would you listen to The Drop again? Why?

This is my first read from Audible, and i'm loving it! I'm hooked. Ive just checked other reads by this narrator, Len Cariou, as i love listening to him. He has the perfect pace, inflection, characterisation, and does an absolutely wonderful job. Thank you, Len.

Masterful Rankin

Would you consider the audio edition of The Drop to be better than the print version?

Not necessarily. Rankin's books tend to be complicated and sometimes referring back helps.

Rankin writes books that feel real. In this one I really felt authenticity of the small towns around Edinburgh.

Another gripping Harry Bosch saga

My addiction to Michael Connelly's books has again been satiated. Mr Cariou's raspy narration at first irritated me but within a few chapters realised that he added to my enjoyment - a great combination.

Is Harry going to be retired? That would be quite pity. The story is interesting. As always, several turns, big finale.
