Publisher's summary

He’s the father of my child and my best friend.

When Hudson and I met, somehow things just clicked between us. We had the same sense of humor and the same carefree attitude about our lives and goals. Neither of us wanted to lay down roots, we wanted to explore the world.

Then one night, too much alcohol and uncontrolled hormones led to the line blurring, and we fell into bed together only to discover a month later that we were more careless than we thought.

Like the upstanding guy he is, Hudson followed me back to my hometown of Lake Starlight, Alaska, where you can’t throw a penny and not hit one of my family members. We gave them the news that yes, we were having a baby but there would be no wedding. We loved each other but we weren’t in love.

Fast forward three years and we live side by side to make co-parenting our daughter easy. I’m a writer, and he’s a ski instructor. We’ve worked out all the rough edges. Life is good.

Until out of nowhere, things start to change. He has a girlfriend, we’re arguing more than ever, and it feels as if someone has come along and popped our perfect bubble. I’m not sure we’re ever going to fit back inside it now because things are developing. Things like feelings.

Loved it

I absolutely loved the dynamic between Hudson and Palmer. I usually don't care for friends to lovers but this book had me hooked from page one. The cherry on top is that this was narrated by one of my all time favorite male narrators. Both Jason and Kit brought to life Palmer and Hudson. You can't even tell they are narrating a book as they brought the characters to life and made you feel like you where a part of the story as it's happening.

Just Amazing!

The narration on this book is just amazing! I love Jason Clarke especially when he mixes in a little accent! And we was great here with Hudson and of course Jamison.

BUT KIT SWAN knocked this one out! Her performance of Palmer was just amazing and you can really tell she put a lot into it. Oh and her Adley (little girl) voice was so freaking cute! I just loved all of it!

I really enjoyed Palmer and Hudson’s story. I had moments where I was frustrated with each of them. I’d get frustrated with Hudson for getting frustrated himself with Teresa but then defending her to Palmer. My frustration with Palmer was her….. fears (to avoid spoilers) getting in her way. So thank you Piper Rayne for giving me all the feels!

All in all it was a great visit to Starlight Cove and I enjoyed the check in with Sedona and Jamison…
