Jesus gave the commission to cast out demons to the entire Church in Mark 16:17. When God calls us into ministry, He equips us. The gifts of the Holy Spirit, as presented in 1 Corinthians 12, represent God's empowerment to believers to accomplish this task.
We must rely on the Holy Spirit for the ministry of deliverance and nothing else, not our own understanding, or the voice of demons, but only the voice of the Holy Spirit to guide us in deliverance and spiritual warfare. Through the gift of the discernment of spirits, we can defeat the enemy in the very place of his counsel and strategy, because God can tell us what (and who) we are coming against.
God is a jealous God. He does not permit us to go to any other source other than Himself for wisdom, knowledge, guidance, or power. Through the Holy Spirit we are able to know all that we need to know in order to defeat the devil and his evil spirits.

Overall I Loved this book, it was informal
This book was funny and yet informal, it carried understanding of the holy spirit and it was clear with the breakdown of discerning spirits. the only thing I found a little off-putting was the muttering or low tone and the recording it kind of threw me off a bit but overall it was wonderful.

Practical and timely information
I love Pastor Hammonds forthright ness in discussing our part of being in Gods army. Deliverance is truly the children’s bread and Pastor Hammond clearly outlines how God has equipped us for Kingdom work.

Sound Anointed Teaching on The Discerning of Spirits
I couldn't put this book down and listened to the entire book in one sitting. The topic and related topics were taught clearly with examples of common misunderstandings, with scripture documentations, of authentic discerning and self employed carnal and false discerning of spirits. Excellent book that I would recommend to all believers whether or not you have this gift or not so as to add to your understanding of the decent and in order purpose of this Holy Spirit given gift. Anointed and powerful teaching!!!

Discerning of Spirits
This has helped me in understanding the process for discerning of spirits. To learn that it is something all spirit-filled believers should be able to do, it is from God alone. I would refer this book to anyone who wants a clearer understanding of this gift of the Spirit.
