Big Abercrombie fan here and this is his best yet. Best book I've read in years! Put this at the top of your TBR I promise you it's worth it.

The Devils is gritty and dark, just as we expect from Joe and Pacey take the material and knocks it out of the park for another home run. Can’t wait for book 2.

Such a good author

I didn't read the description, I didn't want to spoil the story.
I thought this was going to be another addition to the first law series. I was really excited about the devils making their way back into the mortal world a resurgence of magic of old. And the young boy getting trains in the north maybe being Logan and the yellow eyed ladies kid, that would be a true menace.

But it wasn't that
This is a very good story , joes writing characters and world builds amazing as always

so freakin great

absolutely wonderful. so excited to have a new book by abercrombie. And truly he keeps getting better. the characters the pace, the depth and emotion side by side with bursts of laughter. the skill with which this man writes is elite. nothing else like it. oh and the narrator is just great he does a phenomenal job on all abercrombie books

A wonderfully funny and dark tale. that will keep you laughing out loud and listening. My new favorite author and series. Wow.

Abercrombie + magic

A werewolf, a vampire, and a necromancer walk into a bar.. err book. It’s great. Say one thing for Joe Abercrombie say he’s a hell of a storyteller.

fantasy suicide squad

Fun premise, interesting world, well executed. Pacey as always does a great job of bringing Abercrombie's character's off the page. the only negative I can even think of is that sometimes the banter really does sound like the shower thoughts of someone quipping at themselves. especially when it seems like they can't go five steps without making an irreverent remark about something they see.
