About this listen

Those whom the demons would destroy, they first make mad…

Vincent Donnelly’s life has been one twisted nightmare after another. After waking up in a field surrounded by corpses, he has struggled to discover the secrets of his forgotten past and free himself from the spirits inhabiting his mind. At times, he has teetered on the brink of sanity.

But now, he may finally have snapped…

After escaping the horror of Dr. Graham, Vincent finds himself trapped in a sinister mental hospital in the middle of nowhere. Drugged and tormented by the doctor and staff, he is unable to use the strange powers he has learned, though the spirits that normally chatter within his mind are finally silent.

But even as his friends, aided by the spirit of a powerful psychic, search for him, Vincent makes a terrifying discovery. All his suffering, all his sacrifices, have all been for naught. The demonic entity behind his torment is feeding off his pain, growing ever more powerful. And there is only one way to stop this evil creature before it unleashes more suffering upon the world.

Vincent Donnelly must die…

Demon child

Amazing job by both Ian Fortey and John Pirhalla. This is the fifth book in the series, and by far the most challenging so far. The demon who has taken the form of a child is literally nuts and uses some every creative ways to try and trick the hero. Thankfully he has some old and new friends coming to help him. In the end he manages to hold on to his sanity but at what cost?

Demon

I was given this advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review and I'm willingly doing so now. wow just wow it answered a few questions I had. I got to know the characters better. the thing I can can say is that its a very good book so well worth a read and definitely worth spending either a credit or paying for it very good thriller. and as always awesome narration.

Getting better

Love this series, it adds so much being able to listen after reading, so that I catch all those things I missed, just enough twist and turns

Fifth

This is the 5th of series I really enjoyed the characters of Vincent and Fix (a voice) and Dezzy (who was brought back to life in previous books). Vincent continues to try and find out his past all while dealing with the Demon while trying not to die. Recommend you read/listen to the first 4 books to get the full effect of the characters and his search. Look forward to Darkness Falls and the good narration

Binge worthy

Another winner for me. The story line was full of twist and has you guessing at every turn. I enjoyed this listen and can't wait for the next.

Unexpected

This was an unexpected ending. Through most of the series I echoed Vincent "I don't understand " But this book right here tied it all together. The ending was beautiful

Is chaos really bad? Read to find out.

The whole series was packed with suspense, but I think the best yet is the fifth book though. It’s a great book, and a great end to an awesome series! I wish there were more books! That’s the only thing I’m sad about! Too bad Icarus isn’t real, because I wouldn’t say he’d make a good pet, but a great and loyal little friend! Sorry to lose the friends that we’ve made in this series… or have we? Only time will tell!
