Sad story but very true how war can define a person

Story was well written, narrator was good, but spoke very fast with hardly a breath between sentences. No break between chapters. Really depicts how POW survivors come home with PTSD and are not taken seriously. Overall, the story was good, but kind of jumped around a bit.

Great beginning, could use some help at the end

Deeper Dark starts out really well. The escape from the prison seen had me on the edge of my seat.
In fact, the story had me up until the halfway point. I would have preferred more about Haven's reintegration to society. But the story goes sideways into child trafficking and loses my interest.
The narrator did an awesome job. Really kept me reeled in.
