About this listen

In A House That Hungers...No One's Soul Is Safe!

Wickersham Hollow holds the dark secret of a deal made in hell on Halloween night 1697. The secret is kept within a house - a house with a will of its own, a house long empty of living souls - a house with a heart of pure evil.

Now, 300 years later, seven teenagers in search of a Halloween night thrill get more than they bargained for when they awaken a malevolence that has lain dormant for centuries. Barely escaping with their lives, they learn that the past never dies.

When a young couple buys the house years later, those who survived it once before are called upon to face the evil once more.

If they fail, a young woman will lose her soul.

Can they find the courage to reunite and defeat that which crawled out of the very bowels of hell? The clock is ticking. And come midnight....

If you're looking for a pause-resisting mystery, shrouded in a curse, and dipped in demonic terror you'll love The Covenant of Wickersham Hollow.

Gripping Horror Mystery

Evil is a sneaky thing. It lies in wait for the right situation to breathe life into its black heart. That situation – the catalyst – is sometimes put in motion with specific purpose. Other times the trigger is merely fate.

In the Covenant of Wickersham Hollow, destiny spurs the characters down a path that will forever scar their lives. We, as listeners, go along for the journey as the story weaves in and out of the past, where a mystery steeped in horror unfolds layer by layer.

Stephen Bungay is a talented narrator. His performance brought the entire story – setting, action, and characterization – into deep focus. I had no problem envisioning the scenes or recognizing which characters were speaking. Well done!

Deep Thriller

I did enjoy listening this haunting thriller with good character development even though did go back and forth in times which helped define the story. There are not only ghosts but an evil entity (demon) which wants a child to be born into the human world. Left me wondering about Annabel, felt so sorry for the friends young and old. Recommend if you enjoy good versus evil horror with good narration. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

Creepy.

This was an atmospheric creepy haunted house story but told uniquely from a few perspectives over two different timelines. It jumps around a little but once you get the flow it is easy to follow where we are at in the tale as far as time goes. Basically, there is a young couple who buy and fix up the old Wickersham house. The girls grandfather is actually the protagonist in the first story that took place at the same location but when he was a teen. The two stories intermingle and come together in a great conclusion. I really enjoyed this book, certainly creepy. The narration was good but he needs to work on his women's voices a little. His other voices are great particularly his old man and creole woman, they were on point. Overall really good story. Evil wants to be reborn

A house is linked to an evil that wants to be reborn as human. Forces of good and evil battle in a fight of life and death. After 300 years can good win this battle? If so, at what cost?
I enjoyed this audio from beginning to end, couldn't stop listening once I started.

The narrator does a really good job in the narration, especially with the voices used.

Wickedly twisted story

This book is well written with a twisted storyline that pulls from the distant past till the present. The storyline has many twist and turns that will keep you in the edge of your seat unable to stop listening or reading. I was hooked on the story from the very beginning. I loved how well the characters were developed in this descriptive tale of good vs. evil. This is my first time reading anything from this author but it is definitely not my last. The narrator Stephen Bungay was perfect for this story he pulled you in and definitely did not let you go. I can't wait to hear more from both author and narrator.
