Annie's life is deliciously full as the Christmas season approaches. She helps her husband, Samuel, attend to the community's minor medical needs. She occasionally assists Belinda, the local midwife, and most days, she finds herself delivering the buggy to her brother, Adam. Annie's sister-in-law, Leah, is due to deliver their first child before Christmas morning, and Annie is determined to finish a crib quilt before the boppli arrives. With six weeks to go, she should have no problem... but God may have a different plan. Annie’s sister-in-law, Lea is taken to the Hospital in Philly for neonatal care. Both Lea and Adam have their faith tested as they wait for the birth of their twins. A sweet story of faith and God’s protection.

Good

This was a good story. A little slow getting started but most of it was engaging. It did die out toward the end which was disappointing. But all in all I enjoy the story.

Very sweet

I like the stories of the fruits of the Spirit.

Reba's boyfriend's name keeps switching from Trevor to Trent.

Chapter 18: Dr. Kamal spoke about his home country "of Africa." Africa is a continent. Did he mean South Africa? Or should he have said "in Africa" instead of "of Africa"?

Amish Romance

It's been a long time since I've read or listened to an Amish story. I enjoyed the quilt stories very much! I especially loved their growth in God and their improved marriage because of prayers and their difficulties.
The narration was well done but a few of the men's voices seemed awful odd to me.

I was so happy to find the continuation of Annie and Samuel's story. The voice narration for Samuel, Adam, and the other men is not very good.

Poor preparation

I enjoy this story. Have listened to it multiple times. Each time I hear the narrator mispronounce Amish / German words it makes me cringe. Also she chooses whiny, nasal voices several times for characters when there's no reason to.

Sweet Amish story

This story was really sweet. It had a quilting theme with Amish characters and expectant mothers. One is carrying twins who decide to come early. It was a precious story about friendship, Godly principles, family & quilting.

Loved it!

I was a little confused with the characters relationships with one another for a bit at the beginning so be sure to listen closely to those explanations. Other than that, I adore this book and will reread someday.

Nice Story

A well written story that is typical of the books by Vanetta Chapman. Interesting information for those of us looking for a glimpse into this culture.
