Cute story for Christmas

I liked that there were four characters and the author did a good job making it so I cared about them. That is an admirable thing for a novella. Once I got into it the story was engaging enough. I found myself wishing I had a book group or an angel group like them! The narration was fine, and she did a good job but most of the characters’ voices sounded like an elderly woman even if they weren’t. I’ll be checking out more by this author.

Heartwarming and thought provoking. We could all be earth angels given the push in the right direction.

I did not like this at first but it's actually quite good and entertaining. Not very predictable either. The best Melody Carsen book I've read.

An Inspiring Story!

I loved this Christmas novella so much! The loss of a book club member leaves the other four shaken and torn as to what to do until they receive angel ornaments and a challenge from their lost friend. This angel project challenge sets these women on an inspiring path that brings hope to their futures and a new closeness among the group.

Linda Stephens brings such joyful narration to this story. The character voices were easy to follow, distinct and clear.

This book is suitable for teens and older with no inappropriate intimate scenes and no bad language.

Delightful

The characters were human beings with flaws and with virtues. The only “off” note is how the spouse of the character who inspires them all is completely ignored and forgotten, or at least unmentioned ever again once his brief role is over. Seems an odd lack. Otherwise, just delightful!

Becoming More with Christ and Friendship

A story filled with the kind of problems that real people have, not just the "pretty" pictures that folks like to paint . . . waking up to the news that one of their closest friends has passed away from an aneurysm in the night . . . a few years after surviving cancer . . . the ladies from a book club are heartbroken . . . and really not knowing if they can trust a God that lets something like this happen . . . these women, from all walks of life, different ages, and all struggling with their own issues, are missing Abby, who had been the glue that held their small group together . . . and when Abby's husband delivers Christmas gifts to the friends that Abby made prior to passing away, small miracles begin to happen in each of their lives . . . healing, joy, learning to forgive, learning to accept the gifts that God gives us in this life and finding that most of the time the happiness comes in the journey . . . a wonderful story for Christmas . . .

Delightful

This is a delightful little Christmas Story. I would read it again. Sweet as Christmas candy!

Great book

This book illustrates bad negative experiences can be used for good in our lives and others. Life changing for characters and can be for us after reading book if apply. Recommend for teen through adult.
