Great story

With zero disrespect to Mr. Marosz, I prefer a different narration style. Great story. Great plot.

Loved it! It was very hard to put down and I enjoyed it from beginning to end.

Great story and narration but why was there music with narration? Didn’t like that, it was very distracting

Convoluted

I loved the story and performance, but not the barely audible background and some repetition of some dialog. isn't it wonderful to learn more about Pendergast? I recommend this book.

Great story. Love the author. He’s done a very good job with these characters. Did not like the background sounds and music. Very distracting.

Be prepared

Some very disturbing medical incidents are described that were hard to hear so be prepared. Otherwise a good mystery.

A gem I had previously overlooked

I thought I had read most of the pendergast series, but strangely enough I had never listened to this edition. a fun light read.

I absolutely loved listening to this book and I’m glad I got the version with the sounds in the background made it delightful.

Decent twists!

It was a good listen. Some decent twists and memorable characters. The historical bits were interesting and blending it with a modern mystery and archaeological parts was entertaining.

Delightfully creepy, strange, and twisted

This is one of my favorite novels of all time, and one of the best in the Pendergast series. Some key locations and characters have their origins in this story. You think you know where it’s going, but the surprises keep coming until the very end.

I do not care much for the narrator. He shines with his array of character voices, but his narration style is distractingly repetitive with odd intonation choices. Unfortunate for such an epic story.
