About this listen
Kayla “Bossy” Ticker is a bona fide product of the streets, spending her time on the grind and settling scores. Years after forming alliances with a couple of the city’s most notorious gangsters, she creates a formula to cook cocaine with a potency most dealers would pay top dollar to get their hands on.
Now in her prime, “Bossy” has gotten tired of looking over her shoulder and watching her own back. The death of her mentor hastens her decision to walk away from the hustle, until a new enemy forces her to fight one final battle. Can “Bossy” make it off the streets before it’s too late, or will the streets claim her like they have all the rest?

Venus Johnston has a great job and a long-term, live-in boyfriend who happens to be a drop-dead gorgeous doctor. She also has a weekly beauty-parlor date to keep her long, nappy hair slick and straight. But the tedious hours and harsh chemicals in the salon have long grated on Venus. One frustrating day, she trades in the long hair for a dramatically short, natural cut and sends her commitment-balking boyfriend packing. It's a bold declaration of independence and one that has effects she never could have imagined.

His job is to destroy the most illegal of commodities, the printed book, along with the houses in which they are hidden. Trash Narrator
The storyline of this book is good, but the narrator was so trash. She struggled pronounce words or either tried speed reading thru parts. This will be the last one book I listen to that she narrates.

The reader... nahhh!!!
It's hard to focus on the book content with this reader. I don't say this to be mean but... she sounds like she just learned to read.

Awful narrator
How does a writer employ a narrator who cannot even read? This book was not good but the narrator made it painful. She kept stumbling over words and pausing for inordinate lengths in the middle of the book.
