This is one of those books that's hard to put down. I believe this is not the last time I will read it.

brilliant and scarry

I really did not expect to enjoy this book as much as I did. It gave all my favourite childhood stories a new and interesting twist.

Strangely good.

it certainly takes a bit to get going, but once it does and you get sucked in it's a hell of a ride. I loved the performance I'm sad he's not reading the Land of Lost Things but I'm hopeful that Lucy will do that justice too

A slow start but I soon got sucked in

I enjoyed this book from the very first page. The narrator is so talented, I was completely immersed by the story. Highly recommended!

Best narrator ever!

This was my second “read”(read the physical book in middle school and listened to the audiobook now, almost 10 years later)
Still love this book with all my heart, and the narrator was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend, whichever medium you choose!

My favourite book so far!

The book overall was amazing from start to finish. Great narrator as Nick Rawlinson gives a powerful performance for each of the characters and the overall progression of the story. The story itself had an interesting premise with a very unique twist as we get to know our protagonist through a hero's journey from his introduction to the unknown to his return as a changed man. The supporting cast was amazing along with a great villain. This is a must for the bookaholics and the lovers of fictions, satisfying to the end. 😉😄

To all Book lovers ❤️

The narrator just read very slowly. Otherwise he did a great job, doing different voices, etc.

Tho I have no Idea why this book was highly rated. It reads like some underpaid and unmotivated ghostwriter got tasked with writing a fantasy book for children and have it done in a month.
Then, upon completion, the ghostwriter is told: "By the way, can sprinkle some blood and gore in there for shock value? Thanks."

Do you think that books that end with "and then he woke up and it turned out that everything was a dream" are lazy and deserve nothing but being shamed, then don't read this. It's hinted from the start that the MC is delusional, hearing voices, etc. So this really isn't much of a spoiler. It's more of a warning that the book ends as badly as one might fear from the start.

I got invested in zero of the characters. It feels like very little of what happens in the book matters to the rest of the book. It's all just a collection of tropes done badly.

Nothing about the book made me feel something. No jokes, I there were any, were funny. No deaths were sad. Things just happened and I couldn't care less.

It might have been a okay but forgettable children's book, but it's not even that, due to the bloody scenes.

I'd recommend this atrocity to no one. Stay away. It's just a waste of time.

Good-ish narrator. God awful everything else.
