About this listen
There are things that wait in the dark. The century-old farmhouse was meant to be a haven for Anna Pall and her daughters, seventeen-year-old Nina and ten-year-old Sam. It was meant to be a fresh start following her bitter divorce from her unfaithful husband, and an opportunity for Anna to rebuild and strengthen her fractured bonds with her girls. Instead, the terrifying and violent events that occurred there ended up splashed on the pages of tabloids and newspapers, following Nina into her reclusive adulthood.
Anna, Nina, and Sam are subject to the darkness in their new home, one that feeds on the pain and fears provided by the Pall women. The shades that hide in this darkness will test the delicate fragments of the family's sanity and leave at least one body in its wake.

Could not put it down!
The Bones of Our House is an atmospheric and chilling read that pulls you in from the very first page. Similar to "Haunting of Hill House," this novel weaves a tale of suspense and supernatural intrigue, all set within the eerie confines of a haunted house. The author's beautiful prose transforms the house into a character itself, with its creaking floors and shadowy corners adding to the palpable sense of dread.
One standout aspect of this book is the narration by Erin Lin. Though I hadn't heard of her before, her performance was nothing short of mesmerizing. She breathes life into the characters, making them feel vivid and real. Her ability to convey the emotions and tension in each scene made the story even more compelling. Her clear and articulate narration made the complex story easy to follow, enhancing the overall reading experience.
The characters are exceptionally well-developed, each with their own distinct personalities and backstories that make them feel authentic. Their interactions and struggles within the haunted house are gripping, pulling the reader deeper into the mystery.
Overall, this is a fantastic read for anyone who enjoys a good haunted house story, beautiful writing, and engaging narration. Erin Lin's performance adds an extra layer of enjoyment to an already excellent book. I am eagerly looking forward to exploring more books she has been involved with.

Top notch narration!
This was an absolute fantastic ride. I was creeped out the whole book. The voices the narrator puts on sent chills down my spine! This one will stick with me for a long time. If you're into ghost stories even a little bit, this one is for you!
