First look at a new series.

I love that Delta does a lot of things really well. The characters were fleshed out deeply enough and appropriate to the story line and pace. It also helped if you know when there were folks who popped up and made cameos from the past - she told you. But knowing the back stories made the whole story bigger. I love this about her writing. I also love, love, can’t say it enough, thank you for not getting in the head space and falling on repeat. And the playtime. Just yum. Ok maybe 4 Yums.

The Bargain - Katie and Con

At first, I didn’t care for Con but he turned out to be a really good man/beast towards Katie. Katie was one tough cookie. I like how she accepted him, even though he was not totally human and joined together with him. She came back to him after leaving a few years earlier (she was on an assignment). He made a bargain with her that would take the rest of her life to fulfill for him to get her sister back, who is a nun. Con was extremely dominant and loved punishing. If I think about it, Katie did too. They were great for each other. Before he knew Katie was back, he had another woman servicing him and once he decided to marry Katie, he had her removed from his house very abruptly and she was not too happy about that. This led to other issues, but Con takes care of them. Great scene in the airport restroom with the bad guy and Con. Con was too smooth in how he handled the situation. I was surprised by who the person was that had most of Con's people killed. I love Delta James’ writing style and this was really good book. I will move on to the next book in the series. As always, JT Farrell did an awesome job with the narration. I received this free copy audiobook from Audiobooks Unleashed and have voluntarily left this review.

Another amazing story with Uber Dom shifters and talented, brainy and brave women. Delta James is an extraordinary author and JT Farrell is equally so at narration. Enjoy

The Bargain

This story was SPINE TINGLING GOOD It captured my attention from the beginning with the cat and mouse theme ,This was Extremely hot With a HEA to boot. I enjoyed it immensely !!!

Very Enjoyable

I enjoy Delta James immensely. Especially the Wayward Mates. This was really good too and JT Farrell is an amazing Narrator.

Wanted to like it

I thought the summary sounded really good and I am no prude and don't mind some sex in my stories. When not even fifteen to twenty minutes had passed and I have heard the F word so many times and a graphic oral sex scene where it was no more then grabbing hair and pumping her head. I knew this was beyond a little sex. Even the female lead was " oh how I remember the way he F---ed me" Really wanted to follow the story line which sounded compelling but sex was degraded to the point of nasty. Returned this one.
