Baseball mixed with the president's daughter!!

I loooooved this cute, fun and adorable romance!!!!
It gave me all the vibes of a favorite childhood Disney channel movie in the 90’s, My Date With The President’s Daughter!! Lulu delivered such a delightful story that had me completely hooked from beginning to end!! I already want to listen to it again!

Lux is a hot NY baseball player who sees a gorgeous girl while out one day and has no idea who she is. He then tries to “save her” when he sees GI Joe creepers following her and has quite the encounter with some secret service agents. Radley and Lux’s romance develops so naturally throughout the story with sweet text convos and hang outs while also having a shared understanding of how it feels to be in the spotlight! Radley also goes through a lot of character development as she had something happen to her that left her struggling with her anxiety. Lux is always there to take care of her and help support her through her growth! And their code names with the secret service in this book…LOVED it!

This story does take place in the baseball off season but there is still the amazing found family moments with the Lions players and they added even more banter and fun to the book!! Gahhh, this whole story was just so freaking cute and the whole time I was singing the “My Date With The President’s Daughter” movie opening song!

I ate up every minute of this audio and could not get enough!!! It was so incredibly easy to listen to as CJ Bloom & Chris Brinkley brought this cute romance to life in this amazing dual narration!

CJ Bloom’s youthful tone perfectly captured Radley’s college age while doing an amazing job bringing out all of the internal feelings Radley deals with during her personal growth. Chris Brinkley’s rich swoony tone flawlessly captured this cinnamon roll baseball player! He had me swooning over Lux ever time he spoke! Overall, this duo was perfect for Lux & Radley and made it such a fun listen!!!

This was my first from Lulu! This is book 3 in The New York Lions series, but could be read as a standalone. I wish I would have read the other books in the series first, just because with the cover, I expected it to have more baseball featured. BUT, it is set in the off season & with the FMC Radley being a college student, it felt really NA. Radley is the President’s daughter & had experienced something tragic that led her to being extremely protected & introverted. Lux plays in the MLB for the Lions & lives with some of the other players. This romance is extremely slow burn, due to Radley’s past. Lux falls hard & fast for Radley. He helps her through some panic attacks & helps her find her strength & happiness again. I felt like the book focused most on Radley & her growth, rather than baseball or the romance. I really can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

The Baller is a slow burn, MLB player / college student. She is the president's daughter, and this one has all the found family vibes.

Lux and Radley have a good story, and I really enjoyed this one. These two have chemistry and this bond that is so sweet. Their friendship starts off innocent, but they can't deny their feelings for long.
Even though this is a slow burn, you stay engaged in the story until the very end.

I listened to this audio, and it was one that I kept in my ears until it was over. CJ Bloom is a narrator who is on my always listen list. She has a voice that is soft and sweet. The perfect voice for Radley.
Chris Brinkley isn't a narrator I have listened to a lot. But I thought he had a great voice for Lux. He captured his fun, loving personality perfectly.

I will juslmp right into the next book...

Fun sweet story

I love this series, especially how sweet Lux is. A winner with great narration. The age/maturity gap was a little concerning but a great story overall.

I'm loving this series so much. Lux and Radley's story was so much fun and I loved the unique tropes Lulu brought. And the president just so ever casually being a woman was *chef's kiss*

I really loved Radley. She had a bit of a broken side with her past and seeing her grow and move on from that trauma was so great. And the way Lux supported her had me swooning.

The audio was great. CJ Bloom and Chris Brinkley were both fantastic and I loved this listen.
