About this listen

My name is Lux Weston, and I’m a matter of national security... apparently.

All I did was meet a beautiful girl in a bookstore and then rescue her. Once… twice… and maybe a third time—from a creeper.

The problem? The creeper turned out to be Secret Service, and the girl… well, she’s Radley Andrews—the President’s only daughter.

It has disaster written all over it. I should stay away.

She’s a student, I’m a Major League Baseball player. She’s trying to hide from the spotlight, I’m standing underneath it. Not to mention I’ve never had a relationship, and Radley has her own demons to battle.

When she starts looking at me the way I’m looking at her, staying away becomes impossible. Soon we’re sneaking secret dates and I’m making her breakfast.

While Radley might be the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen, she’s become something better: mine.

Fun sweet story

I love this series, especially how sweet Lux is. A winner with great narration. The age/maturity gap was a little concerning but a great story overall.

This was my first from Lulu! This is book 3 in The New York Lions series, but could be read as a standalone. I wish I would have read the other books in the series first, just because with the cover, I expected it to have more baseball featured. BUT, it is set in the off season & with the FMC Radley being a college student, it felt really NA. Radley is the President’s daughter & had experienced something tragic that led her to being extremely protected & introverted. Lux plays in the MLB for the Lions & lives with some of the other players. This romance is extremely slow burn, due to Radley’s past. Lux falls hard & fast for Radley. He helps her through some panic attacks & helps her find her strength & happiness again. I felt like the book focused most on Radley & her growth, rather than baseball or the romance. I really can’t wait to read the rest of the series!!

Thank you Lulu Moore & Valentine PR for the ARC!
