it's a shame, I really wanted to like this.

I find this author very hit and miss but I thought the country setting would compensate for any of the triteness exhibited in some of her books.
But the characters were just too annoying and immature to be offset by the charming setting. If only she had concentrated on the rehab efforts and less with the unbelievable (and I mean that literally) angst.
And then there was the poor narration that turned the whole thing into a melodrama.

If I hadn't paid for it, there is no way I'd have bothered finishing (and that took me over 6mths to do). I feel like I've accomplished something by getting through it
