What made the experience of listening to The Art of Seduction the most enjoyable?

This book was really insightful and got me to think about the games that are played in love relationships. I took this book from a tongue and cheek perspective, and found it thought provoking to get you to think about the things you fall for in other people and the things that you do to get others to fall for you. Others were offended by the language in the book, as he often states "victim" etc., I interpreted it as the author poking fun at the idea of seducing people if that really is your intent, but ultimately we all have free will. If you tend to fall head over heels in love, too fast and too quickly, this book can be helpful to you- guilty as charged- as it helped me realize that I often put my cards on the table and fall for people that often play games with me.

What did you learn from The Art of Seduction that you would use in your daily life?

This book has made me more aware of people, their intentions, and the games that they often play. I think its useful for you if you typically get walked on by other people, if you tend to be a people pleaser, it makes you more aware of the different personality/seduction types, and helps you to avoid falling into a never ending back and forth love game with someone.

Interesting listen

I found it to be a well-narrated audiobook that helps the listener absorb the content without getting bored. Contentwise it has an amoral stance but provides insight into the types of seducers and methods they employ.

Just okay

I really like the way the author uses history to proves his points throughout the book and I also, enjoyed the way the way in which is was written similar to the of the art of war but overall, the book was just okay and I don't think I got too much out of it.

Useful read and aka the game

If you really want to drive your relationships crazy then read this!! Excellent for those who’ve gone through the life being played and not knowing what game you some how and unwilling entered, read this explanation of the so called game

Interesting

Interesting read, but the whole time I found myself waiting for it to be over. Used this book to drive to and from Chicago and would often have to change over and listen to music.

Weird

I listened because I was interested in the archetypes but some ideas are kind of outdated, and the narrating voice makes them creepy and sound too manipulative.

Valuable info in an icky package

After listening to this, I felt like I wanted to take a 6 hour shower to rinse the filth off. This book is icky and, at times, I cringed and even caught myself saying out loud, "Oh ewww..." once or twice. BUT, the information in the book would definitely give one the knowledge to avoid being a "victim" or "prey" (the authors words!) for a seducer. Forewarned is forearmed.

The quality of the actual audiobook is good. I didn't mind the narrator, although I can see how others might. The tone he uses in the preview is the tone he uses for the entire book. It does move at a nice pace. I did actually like the historical examples and the fact this book is not geared to just men. If a woman were looking for how to be a seductress, there is plenty here.

It would be better if it were the entire book

It is great to listen to parts of the book while driving but for those of us who like to listen while we read along, you will find that the audio book is not the complete book so you will still have to read the bulk of the book with no audio accompaniment. The narrarator's voice is soothing but stimulating enough to not fall asleep. I love the timbre of his voice along with how he adds dynamic to the words to maintain engagement.

Been meaning to read this for a while now

Love love love this book got a lot game from it and helped me understand what was being done to me and how to change my perspectives on seduction

I’m not gonna be using this for good. Book was fantastic and I highly recommend it.
