Acerca de esta escucha

ASBOs may be the pride and joy of New Labour, but they don't cut much ice with Horace Rumpole - he takes the old-fashioned view that if anyone is going to be threatened with a restriction of their liberty then some form of legal proceeding ought to be gone through first. When one of the Timson children is given an ASBO for playing football in the street, Rumpole soon realizes something fishy is going on.

What made the experience of listening to The Anti-Social Behaviour of Horace Rumpole the most enjoyable?

I have been a longtime Rumpole fan. Loved the idea of "she who must be obeyed" becoming a barrister.

What other book might you compare The Anti-Social Behaviour of Horace Rumpole to and why?

All the other Rumpoles are just as entertaining. I recommend them all

Which character – as performed by Bill Wallis – was your favorite?

I do love Hilda. She is a powerful force.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Nothing extreme. Rumpole is always good for a chuckle.

Rumpole at His Finest

Inviting Horace Rumpole in is always a special occasion despite his antisocial ways. Wonderful dry humor battling master criminals or She Who Must be Obeyed. John Mortimer has gifted us with Horace.

Always special

Rumpole is my most favorite non-conformist. He never takes himself or his colleagues too seriously. Rumpole's sense of humor is high-browed yet universal so anytime I get a chance to hear one of his cases, I take it.

Like visiting an old friend

For all you Rumpole fans, this a further installment. More shenanigans. More fun! See what Hilda, Portia , and the mad Bull, Judge Bullingham are up to now.

Further adventures of Horace Rumpole.

Three seemingly unconnected cases intertwine to get his client acquitted of murder. And Rumpole almost gets his silk

Everything that makes Rumpole good

The narrator ruins this listen. Most of his sentences go from a loud voice at the beginning of a sentence to a soft mumbling at the end. It takes so much effort listening to understand the words that it is not worth it.

Rumpole stikes out
