About this listen

A riveting new novel from Danielle Steel, whose countless number-one New York Times best sellers have made her one of America's favorite storytellers.

Heads always turned when Rose McCarthy walked into a room. Nearly six feet tall, she was ramrod straight, and impeccably put together with faultless style, long graceful legs, her snow-white hair cut in a chin-length rounded cap. Her piercing blue eyes missed nothing. She could terrify anyone with a few well-chosen, soft-spoken, eloquent words, or comfort and delight a young employee with generous praise. For 25 years, she had been the legendary editor in chief of Mode magazine. Gentle, polite, supremely competent, she ran it with an iron hand, with the ultimate grace and discretion. She was known for her excellent judgment, wise decisions that always benefitted the magazine, her dedication and love of fashion....

Very predictable, could of had more twist and turns. Also I thought the narrator should of been female.Story had no depth to it.

I used to be a huge DS fan. But then I started feeling like everything is said multiple times through out all of her books. I have taken a long break from her writing. I thought I’d like to try again but, as before, the story itself is good but the writing is still very repetitive.

Very repetitive.

Used to be a big fan of DS novels, but this one left me wanting more. Very drawn out with a ho-hum plot.

Expected more from Danielle Steele

I was so glad that the characters, even though glamorous, were able to work through such serious issues. That’s real life.

Lots of thought.

I loved that they made it thru and were able to build a new better life together

Classic Daniel Steel. NY to France, chateaus and brownstones, jewelry and dresses! And I need a 15 word minimum

Despite the number of bad reviews I read about it regarding the lousy storyline- I thought it was a good story tho.

The story showcase the different emotions that went through in each relationship which I feel real.

I love it! ❤️

It’s was a good real as usual!

Wow! Very emotional. Marriage is hard. Doubly hard when someone is unfaithful. Hard to find forgiveness in your hurt heart. Love can win out.

I’m a regular DS reader and enjoy her style. This book, however, never really caught me. I kept waiting for something to happen but there was quite a bit of repetition and no deep plot.
