Great read highlighting foster care kids

The authors background makes her incredibly knowledgeable on everything & it made for a very heartbreaking yet realistic tale of trying to reunite kids in the foster care system. Really enjoyed the plot & characters. Can be read as stand alone. Good narration.

My Favorite of all!

I have enjoyed all 17 of the novels in this series, but this was hands-down my favorite. I could not wait to find out what was going on with these four children who were not being placed together and how did that youngest child get adopted so quickly! The storyline was fascinating, and I listened to it basically in one whole day! I love all the characters and feel so attached to them and admire the difficult heart wrenching storylines they have to deal with on daily basis. The narrator is good except I have to say the children’s’ voices always sound like an old man, but that does not detract from my enjoyment in any way. Highly recommend. I will be sad when the author completes the series through the letter Z!
