Oh,boy! Heed the warnings! This book is gruesome! How can a family be so messed up? How could they do such things to each other? ABUSE!
I was gifted an Audible version of this book. I have to say, I was not too impressed with this narrator. She read in an almost sing songy fashion. Not enough inflection or emotion for my taste. It wasn't much better than that monotone you get on Google Play Books! I think it could have been done alot better.

very brutal

Good story for what it is. Hard to read extreme abuse. I liked the ending it fot the book perfectly.

Love it

I was actually sad that the book ended. I just wanted it to keep going! Keeps me at the edge of my set the entire time. Unexpected ending for sure!

Honestly, this is kind of just gore porn.

I enjoy horror books, dark themes, thrillers and such but I despise gore porn. Creations that are thin on story, if it even has one and light on shock and awe in the worst ways. It's like slasher flicks with no real plot, but worse, because it's written so they get away with more. Yet again, I was tricked into thinking s book was horror only to find it was gore porn, though this is more like dirt. The story is okay; bad teenage girl, sexually confused little brother and parents who get gross about "discipline" - all written with unnecessary detail about nipples and other things. As long as you know what you're getting into with it, I'm sure it's fine for the right readers but it's a no from me.

Do not read this review unless you don't mind spoilers. The story is decent, but I can't review it without giving storyline away




At first, I felt bad for Dad. His teen daughter was drinking, smoking, sexing, etc.... He and Mom tire of it. They tie up daughter and teach her. Lessons turn into torture,until they consider killing her to keep their lives peaceful. That sums up the story.
Now onto the details.
The abuse is realistic (translation : beatings : boring Mommy Dearest wire hangers) until it isn't. Swallowing multiple condoms was fun to listen to,but unrealistic. I don't mind unrealistic, just staying.
Daughters revenge was best part of the book.
And a sidenote: do teen boys really jerk it to their older sister's panties? Do teen boys want to suckle their sister's breasts? I don't have a penis, so I don't know. It just sounds horrible.
I listened to this book and liked the voice, but Dad's voice was too stiff. Not enough to take away from the story.... Overall, this book is still a solid 4 stars

I don’t think that “messed up” family covers it even a little. Evil people discovering they’re evil and enjoying it to the fullest.

I JUST WANT TO SAY THAT, THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD THAT, I LISTENED TO THE WHOLE THING IN ONE SITTING. THE NARRATOR WAS GREAT. I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR HER NARRATE AGAIN ON ANOTHER BOOK. THIS BOOK AND NARRATION GETS 2 HEARTS AND A SWIRL OF LOVE! ❤❤💞

Disturbing

Very disturbing and horrific story of abuse. Definitely not for the easily offended. Very well written and narrated.
