Acerca de esta escucha

There's only one rule in the race to find 39 Clues hidden around the world: Trust no one.

But when the hunt leads 14-year-old Amy Cahill and her younger brother, Dan, to Japan, their only chance to find the third Clue seems to lie with their unreliable uncle, Alistair Oh. Will they be foolish enough to make an alliance? With a Clue on the line, Amy and Dan might not have a choice. But in the Cahill family, trusting your relatives can get you killed.

The first three books remind me of the Baudelaire children in their bad luck with fire. It is as if Lemony Snicket unprevaricatively wrote the Carmon Sandiego series, seasoned with Wishbone historiography. The sagacious, temeritous, and lucky Amy and Dan Cahill do keep us glued to their adventure, allowing to slip by our notice that their world is equally unrealistic. Nobody who has travelled internationally by air would recognize the airport sequence as a real world event. Yakuza equipped with ninja technology? The Tokyo subway sequence is bizarre (btw 3rd rail type is rare). A 15th century white European Cahill as a progenitor of a powerful Japanese figure? And even if he did survive long enough to marry, I can guarantee his child would not speak English, upon which concept all the clues turn. A fun read, but would be more believable on another world.

The actors are great and make the story way better but the story took some weird turns and felt uncoordinated from the other two books

If you loved the "National Treasure" movies you're gonna love this book. Listening in the car allows us to discuss the history and clues and to stop the tape from time to time to try to predict what will happen next. Audiobooks have been great for keeping our commutes free from arguments, increasing our vocabulary as well as our basis for learning literature. My kids loved this book and we are looking forward to the next one coming out in June.

Kept the whole family entertained on road trips! Kids aged 9 to 13 and the adults enjoyed the mix of history, mystery and adventure. On to the next one!

In this book Amy and Dan find themselves traveling with a family member who they are not sure if they should trust. Uncle Allistar is someone they suspected put a tracking device on them, and now they have no choice but to trust him in order to get to Japan. Getting to Japan is not as easy as they suspected and it seems that in every book they loose their Opear, and then somehow fate will lead them back together again no matter where they are. Once in Japan a horrible fate falls upon them, and they can not bare to stand the pain, but they continue to look for the clues as their Grandmother would have wanted them too.. At the end of this book the author gives you a neat listen into a conversation of two people who you never thought knew each other. There is a twist at the end of this book that had me on the edge of my seat, I find myself interested in the history of the family as well as the current race to find the 39 clues. Off to Book 4..
