About this listen

In the second book in number one New York Times best selling author Sandra Brown’s beloved Texas! trilogy, listeners meet another son of the troubled Tyler clan - Chase Tyler, a man hardened by life and desperately trying to outrun the sorrows of his past.

Chase Tyler has been the object of Marcie Johns’s desire since grade school. But when it came time to settle down, the handsome, laconic cowboy chose another woman to be his bride. Life was good for Chase - until things took an abrupt and tragic turn. Ravaged by grief, Chase has become a lost and embittered soul, a man without purpose, compassion, or hope.

Then fate intercedes, reuniting Chase and Marcie, who was an unwitting player in Chase’s unfathomable family tragedy. Guilt weighs heavily on Marcie, but she’s also convinced that only the strength of her love can pull Chase back from the abyss. She’s willing to risk everything on a daring plan to rescue his business, save his life, and bring them together at last.

Critic reviews

"Lively... some of her very best [writing]... the strong plot is heightened by Ms. Brown's trademark sensuality." ( Rave Reviews)

Enjoyed the book, but narrator did the wrong accent

Talented voice actress, but the accent was Deep South, not Texan. There is a big difference, and it drove me nuts, as a Texan. I did enjoy the story, though, just had to look past the characters not “speaking” authentic Texan.

such fun

I live in NE Texas and hearing them mention towns in my area, especially the flea market in Canton where I'm a vendor added a fun side to this series. I always love Sandra Brown's books but these are special to me.

Did not ruin my favorite book

Most audio books ruin the book. This one was great! ! I really enjoyed all of it the beginning to the end.

Great humour.

I laughed out loud with the arguments and love between the brothers. Great love story second time around. Great narrator.

Loved it , but...

Texas! Chase delivers most of everthing you expect from Sandra Brown except well developed intrigue.

Liked the storyline but not the characters

I like all of Sandra Browns books including this one but not too crazy about Chase. He seemed cruel & Marci seemed a little unhinged at times with her lifelong obsession with him. He seemed cruel & she had no pride for a woman who has a successful career & is very intelligent.

Enjoyable Read

This the first book I've read by this author. Now I need to get book one. The story was interesting and the characters flawed. At times I wanted to kick Chase for being a jersey, but he certainly around. I also enjoyed the narrator, this being the first time I have heard her.
