About this listen

A teenager in love disappears for no reason. Decades later, a betrayal is uncovered that could wreck the lives of everyone he loved.

Henry Cooksey was 17 when he disappeared. No trace of him was ever found, apart from his treasured scarf, abandoned at a bus stop. When the Bearing women investigate his disappearance, they uncover not only betrayal and deceit, but a secret hidden for almost four decades, which could shatter the lives of the loved ones Henry left behind.

What comes next....these women are amazing!!!

I was so excited to receive a code for this book. MK Turner has done it once again. Her never erring ability to pull me into the story as if I am watching it in real time plays out once again in Terms of Affection. Her uncanny talent of weaving suspense and mystery with the twists in the books in the Bearing Witness series finds me on edge from page one. These women and their abilities are indescribably engaging and create a sense of intrigue and anticipation that makes putting the book down almost impossible. I am hoping for more of this series. This is the first time I have listened to anything Perdita Lawton has narrated and I must say she was incredible. I am hoping she creates many more book on audio. MK Turner did an spot on job when selecting her to narrate this book. If you are new to the Bearing Witness series might I suggest you begin with the first one, Witness for Wendy, as they are tied together in the most wonderful way.

Bearing witness

The Bearing ladies are back and working with the police to solve unsolved crimes involving missing persons. This one is a boy that has been missing for 30? years and a woman missing for the same time.
The story was good, Henry’s part was sad but quite interesting.
I have read all MK Turners books and they always keep you guessing!
I hope we get to see more of the detective developing his “gift” and want to see where his predictions go in the next book.
The narrator was not great (sorry!) a lot of the voices were so similar I wasn’t always sure who was speaking and the 17 year old boys sounds like 6 yr old children.

I received this book complimentary in return for an honest review.
