Scoring an invitation for membership to the exclusive Legacy Club in New York City is more than an honor. It gives you a lifetime of access to power and wealth beyond any prep school doors and guaranteed safety and security. So it’s not surprising when Excelsior Prep seniors Bernie Kaplan, Isobel Rothcroft, and Skyler Hawkins are nominated as Legacies; their family pedigrees have assured their membership since birth—even if they're all keeping secrets that could destroy their reputations. But scholarship kid from Queens Tori Tasso? She’s a surprise nominee.

People kill people. Guns just make it easier. A gun is sold in the classifieds after killing a spouse, bought by a teenager for needed protection. But which was it? Each has the incentive to pick up a gun, to fire it. Was it Rand or Cami, married teenagers with a young son? Was it Silas or Ashlyn, members of a white supremacist youth organization? Daniel, who fears retaliation because of his race, who possessively clings to Grace, the love of his life? Or Noelle, who lost everything after a devastating accident, and has sunk quietly into depression?

"Does that mean you don't have a boyfriend?" I narrowed my eyes at him but he still figured out the truth. He gazed at me for a moment then asked, "Have you ever had a boyfriend?" I blushed again. Even deeper than before. My lack of response answered the question for me. I think this was the reaction Seth was hoping for since he leaned in really close. I instinctively tried to back away from him but seeing as how I was lying in bed, and he was blocking my escape, the only thing I could do was sink down into my pillow.

Non memorable story listened in one sitting
Told by multiple POV, we listen to the teens that set out on a spontaneously camping trip that went wrong.
Listened in one day and was entertaining but not memorable. The audio narrator kept my attention with the different POVs.

Predictable
TELL ME WHAT REALLY HAPPENED is a story of five friends/frienemies who go camping, one goes missing. The police assume Maylee dead and question the four teens.
Told us first person police interviews, I think Chelsea Sedoti did the best she could with the limited format in which she chose to tell the story. The mystery is fairly easy to figure out though not the nitty gritty details which were unsurprising.
The audible narration elevated the story.
