What if you discovered your husband was a serial killer?

Megan Miller is an ordinary woman with a young family - until a shocking discovery shatters her perfect world.

But when she begins to delve deeper into her husband's secret life, she makes discoveries that will make her question everything she knows - and make her fear for her young daughter's life.

Facing an impossible decision, she is desperate to uncover the truth. But once you know something, it can’t be unknown. And the more she learns, the more she wishes she never knew anything at all....

this story kept me interested but seemed to end abruptly without much satisfaction.
T here were so many directions i hoped this book would take but sadly it just withered out.

Gripping!

Quick listen, however gripping and intriguing.
I wish more attention was given to the topic of postpartum depression.
Croft's writings are short but never fail to be filled with description which evokes such emotion from me. I feel present in his story.

Way better than expected!

This was very impressive. A step above most suspense/thrillers I listen to on audible. The narration was spectacular as well. Highly recommended.

Very Predictable!!!

Have read better psychological thriller than this one. Just the fact that she had PPD indicated there was something wrong with her. Plot could have been handled better. All in all very predictable.

Disappointed

I'm sorry that I didn't like this book. I'd seen rave reviews so I ordered it. The little things that bugged me was "Megan's" use of "Post Natal Depression" over and over, even after being corrected by her doctor, in the book. The author clearly knows the correct term, as he had the doctor correct "Megan" when she used it in the doctor's office, yet, the author continued to have Megan use the wrong term going forward. Not sure why. And, they completely ignore Chris's physical abuse of Megan, when there were clear opportunities to talk with her doctor and the police about that, but it was never mentioned again. There were many more "little" things that made it hard to like this book. The big thing that bugged me? The plot twist. So unbelievable. I often wonder if I'd like these books better if I read them vs listening to them on Audible, as my inner narration is often different from the Audible narrator. This is just one reader's opinion, so I won't give any more spoilers, but I do not recommend this book.
