Build a strong family team
This book would be great for a teen or a parent, but the true value shines if you are able to listen to it together as a family. The fact that the guide addresses both sides, being a teenager and being a parent, is awesome. I've worked with teenagers for a few years and the biggest complaint I hear is that their parent's just don't understand what things are actually causing them stress. This book breaks down some of the communication barriers, and puts parents and children back on the same team and same page.

A Lifeline for Teens and Parents
Jane Kennedy's Teenagers and Stress is a well-researched and empathetic guide that provides actionable advice for both teens and parents. It thoroughly addresses the many sources of stress teenagers face today, including social pressure, exam stress, and peer influence. This book is an essential resource for anyone seeking to better understand and support young people in navigating these challenging years.
The narration is clear, engaging, and supportive, making the content approachable for teens and adults alike. The narrator’s tone perfectly matches the informative and empathetic nature of the material, helping to foster an understanding environment as listeners digest complex emotional topics.
While this is a practical guide rather than a story, the structure is compelling, with relatable examples, expert insights, and realistic scenarios. Jane Kennedy’s writing is both insightful and reassuring, helping to normalize discussions around mental health and stress management. The focus on building resilience is particularly impactful, offering teens strategies to face challenges with confidence and strength.
