About this listen

I asked for his criteria for bed buddies - that's the PG version.
He swore at me and said he didn’t do groupies.
And just like that, our friendship was off to a great start.

Reese Forster was the starting point guard for the Seattle Thunder.
Gorgeous. Cocky. Loved by the nation.
He’s also attending preseason basketball training camp where I used to work.

Correction: where I work again, because I was fired from my last job.
And dumped.
And I might have a tiny bit of baggage, but that’s normal. Right?

Reese and I shouldn’t have become friends.
We shouldn’t have become roommates.
And we really shouldn’t have started sleeping together...(Except we did.)

I’m adorably psychotic. He’s in the NBA.
This is not a disaster waiting to happen, at all.

Teardrop Shot is a 100K standalone sports romance.

Pet Peeve, conning your readers

In the interest of an author being honest this book was narrated by Savanah Peachwood with a cameo by Dan Bittner. I get tired of authors who say the book has two people doing narration when there is only one with a very brief cameo by another. Just another author trying to boost sales.

Solid standalone sports romance book!

I really enjoyed this book. I would have given 5 stars but I really couldn’t relate to the main female character. I understand that what she went through was traumatic but how she dealt with it was weird and weak. I just couldn’t feel sorry for her. I didn’t dislike her. I thought her quirkinesses was great but her “I can’t talk about anything” just rubbed me the wrong way and she was right when she finally came to the realization that her friends unease and her destruction was all her fault. I started liking her more after that. The narration was great of course SP did an outstanding job as always. I totally recommend this listen especially if you like sports romance and friends to lovers romance.

SWOON!

Seriously Tijan! You stole my heart with Charlie and Reese's story!! Love Love Love!! Savannah is an amazing narrator and the story was; at times quirky, deep and oh so serious. Certainly a tear- jerker but humourous and light to keep you on your toes. Savannah brought the characters to life!

Fantastic Book - Highly Recommend

Really enjoyed everything about this book as well as the narrators. Only thing I would have liked more was if the guys POV was done by the male narrator more

Surprising Story!

I listened to the audiobook of Teardrop Shot and enjoyed the novel very much. The start was a little slow for me, but once I was a few chapters in I found myself captivated by the story. I enjoy the relationship between Charlie and Reese. It evolved beautifully from strangers to friends to lovers! These two truly shared a special kind of connection.

I haven't read a lot of books from Tijan, but I appreciate how she likes to put a certain twist to her stories with uncommon subject matters. I'll admit that this one truly took me by surprise and provided some heartbreaking scenes that made me cry.

The narration of this book was so good. Savannah Peachwood truly delivered all the emotion with her personification of Charlie. The couple chapters in Reese's pov were also well done by narrator Dan Bittner.

Loved It

I loved everything about this book. Charlie was so funny. I loved her random questions. It was heartbreaking what she went through with her ex and I understood why she was the way she was.

Reese was so sweet to her, validating her questions and understanding the reason behind them instead of thinking she was nuts and ignoring her like her friends did. He had his own problems but he still took the time to listen to Charlie's problems and make her deal with them.

Reese and Charlie actually made the prefect couple. They both could understand what the other was going through and they had a great friendship to start out with.

I did love all of Charlie's friends although it did take me a little bit to figure out who they were. The first few chapters with them, I was confused about what was going on. I felt like I had missed a book before this one but I figured it out pretty quick.

Savannah Peachwood really brought Charlie to life. She's so good at reading troubled slightly insecure girls.

Really tough subjects covered

I loved this story but I do have to admit that at first Charlie got on my nerves with her constant questions, yes it could be funny but at the same time it made her seem so juvenile. I loved everything about Reese, he was sweet, loving, loyal, but also hot and sexy. I didn’t love that we had to wait so long to find out about Damien because the story kept leading us to think one thing but here it was something completely different and so sad. I just feel like it was a weird way to introduce this subject matter. I felt this book kept getting better and better as it went, then after we knew everything about her past relationship the story really picked up. Things finally made sense, she finally made sense to me. This story was jam packed with touchy, life altering, and devastating subject matters that Tijan wrote beautifully. The end was just perfection. Wonderful narrators as usual.

500 PLUS Ratings Aren’t Wrong

Don’t listen to the negative reviews. And if you got the romance package then this is a double win for you. Some said the author was All Over the place, But that was the fun part. It was like listing to the kid from Jerry Maguire. But not as annoying as the From Christian Grey and Anna emails. The narrator did a fantastic job! Hopefully it’s a start to a new series. Can’t wait to liten more of Tijan’s work.
