AMAZING

I don't even know where to begin!!! I was SO HESITANT to read a book about Dragons! IT WAS AMAZING!! I loved it!!

Entirely predictable, matinee YA/teen fantasy

Even if you can get past far fetched plots (centuries old dragons battling humanity by sending teen dragons to high school … or centuries old dragon fighters sending a veteran soldier to woo a high school girl who might be a dragon), you’ve still got to embrace the dreaded love triangle.

The first half was way too much high school dating and way too little dragon fantasy. But, this passed the time while prepping for the holiday party, and there was enough of a cliff hanger to lure me onto each successive book.

I liked the overall story arc, even if the execution was formula. It’s fit for listening down to middle schoolers. It lacked the glitz of Hunger Games, however I liked that it wasn’t as dark as Divergent or
as angsty as Mortal Instruments.Also, after this book there’s no more high school.

Those looking for more maturity in their urban fantasy might want to consider, in increasing order:
Elemental Assassin series - still YA, but with more action and magic variety
Lotus War trilogy - alternate history, Asian steampunk originality
The Ninth Rain trilogy - a Final Fantasy vibes and spirit animals
Kate Daniels series - when you’re ready to graduate to full on, kickbutt adult urban fantasy

Talon Review

Great Cast for the story telling, made you feel and see the world they were in

Escape reality and spend time with lovable dragons

Terrific story made all the better by the narration especially Caitlin Davies. The characters are loveable young reprobate challenging and critiquing the system.

Teen audience

The story is very much written for the teenage audience. I managed to get all the way through, but have no plans to continue the series.

Loved it!

Love the narrators, love the story, very entertaining and enthralling. I'm definitely hooked and can't wait due the next story. It's a very interesting take on dragon fantasy stories.

Wonderful

This was a great story that kept me on my toes! Definitely binge worthy! Loved the narrators and how they embraced the characters!

UA romance

Not much more to say, if you are looking for a UA romance between humans and dragons, with the St. George dragon hunting society thrown-in, this is for you. Not me but it was free and I was sick, and so slept thur 1/2 and missed nothing….

I enjoyed the story And look forward to more follow up books. The narrators were excellent.

good book to listen to while door dashing! I can take my attention of it for a few moments with out getting lost in what's going on!
