The New York Times and USA Today best-selling collection of short stories chronicling the adventures of Simon Lewis as he trains to become a Shadowhunter is now available for the first time with an all-star cast of narrators!

Simon Lewis has been a human and a vampire, and now he is becoming a Shadowhunter. The events of City of Heavenly Fire left him stripped of his memories, and Simon isn't sure who he is anymore. So when the Shadowhunter Academy reopens, Simon throws himself into this new world of demon hunting, determined to find himself again. Whomever this new Simon might be.

But the Academy is a Shadowhunter institution, which means it has some problems. Like the fact that non-Shadowhunter students have to live in the basement. At least Simon's trained in weaponry - even if it's only from hours of playing D&D.

Join Simon on his journey to become a Shadowhunter, and learn about the Academy's illustrious history along the way through guest lecturers such as Jace Herondale, Tessa Gray, and Magnus Bane. Written by Cassandra Clare, Sarah Rees Brennan, Maureen Johnson, and Robin Wasserman, these moving and hilarious short stories are perfect for the fan who just can't get enough of the Shadowhunters.

Full cast of narrators includes Torrance Coombs, Sam Heughan, Keahu Kahuanui, and Brett Dalton.

Families

This is a great followup to the Mortal Instruments series and takes us along on the further adventures of Simon Lewis, one of the most interesting characters in that set. The other people he was with in the series also appear in these 11 short stories and through all of them we get a clearer picture of Shadowhunter lives. There is humor, prejudice, love, uncertainty, and various other human struggles. It was a lot of fun to hear of his experiences as he goes through his 2 years of schooling and the "graduation" gave him the rest of his story while also giving him one of the worst moments of his life. I highly recommend this after reading the complete Mortal Instrument books.

I cried wayyy too much

I never really cry over books cause I know that it’s fiction but ever since I started reading Cassandra Clare it’s all I could do. There’s something about her writing and the words she uses that touched me and has me wanting more. I’m a little sad that twp will be the last series of tsc but if it’s what Cassie wants to do then so be it.

I have enjoyed all of the Mortal Instruments series.

This book fills in many of the gaps of the Mortal Instruments series. Now I Must reread the Clockwork series, the history's of Jack the ripper gives more of a back story. I can't wait!

excellent!

the performance was phenomenal! all the narrators were great (they all did an amazing Gorge 😍)
it's a very informative book, a good start for those who haven't read Clare's Los Angeles books and the series about Tessa and Wills kids, and also a heart warmer for those who did read them. i thought it too much of a smut and sweet at times, and even though some scenes made me roll my eyes, it did not ruined my enjoyment. I also was amazed at how much we got to know Isabelle here. she always seemed to me as the character we know least about, and I didn't really knew how she's really like. I loved how much she loves Simon! it was a surprise to me to see how sweet and full of heart she is. how it it didn't even cross her mind to give up on Simon. like it was obvious to her that he's hers, no matter what.
And also, it made me want to re read the Los Angeles series again 😍

Awesome

There are emotionally difficult times in these stories, but I also found myself laughing out loud several times. I love the message of tolerance and seeing diversity and a strength.
