Really great read

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. The story is really good, performance outstanding. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

Just finished listening to the Audible version of T.O.R.N. written by Ampora Yazdani. I read and loved the book a year ago, so looked forward to hearing how it plays in the Audible format. The story holds up so well that I’ll be sending it to my best friend today! I’m a avid reader of spiritual books and this tale weaves sci fi, mystery and deep spiritual truths as it allows us to see the characters find their personal purpose in a world destined to change. Can’t wait for the next book!

This highly imaginitive and vividly detailed sci-fi thriller will suck you in from the very first page. I couldn't put it down! Everyone must read this book!! Can't wait to see what comes next from the insanely talented, first time author, Ampora Yazdani.

This book is Phenomenal !

T.O.R.N is phenomenal !
1. The character development was thorough.
2. The characters were nuanced while still holding distinct value to the plot.
3. The dialog was relatable.
4. The plot was compelling ,thought provoking, and I found myself literally saying out loud “ wow , that’s deep”😂
I could not stop listening to this book! You will not be disappointed! It really needs to be a movie! Get it you won’t be disappointed !

I have also read this book and it was nice listening to it as well. There’s only right now is a novel version of the power of now with excitement and suspense. I couldn’t put the book down and can’t wait for the next one 👍🏼

Really enjoyed this book

I wasn't really sure what to expect as I've never read anything from this author or narrator, but I received this book free in exchange for an unbiased review so I gave it a try. I enjoyed it a lot more than I anticipated. The character development was strong and gripping. The main character was a strong woman with flaws to make her believable and relatable. The narrator was spot on. I look forward to more from this author.

Gripping and Fantastic Story!!

Love love love! There were so many times I was on the edge of my seat (literally was in car driving). I couldn't stop listening to this book and to finish it in one listen.! Highly recommend!
Love a strong woman with powers. Especially with powers she doesn't know she has. The pace of the story and constant twists were perfect. The descriptions of scenery and feelings were explicit enough to bring you in. The personalities were perfectly developed. The author is extremely talented. The story was strong and full. The narrator was perfect. She does a fantastic job with the characters. Love the relationship between Asante and Chelo. There are so many facets to this story that keep you entranced. But the most compelling is how Asante is the last hope against the tyranny that has enslaved the collective conscience.

Awesome storytelling!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I am looking forward to the continuation of the story. This book has helped me to be more purposeful about living in the now and not worry about yesterday and tomorrow.

Wonderful narration, okay story

I was deeply intrigued by the premises of this book and how the story started. A mother with two daughters with some kind of premonition powers are hiding and running from a danger unknown to the reader. The story trapped me from the start thanks to a wonderful narration and good writing.

The first third of the book really kept my attention, following this little family, and then the elder daughter as an adult. I think the buildup of the story was great and it kept me on the edge of my seat, but how it developed was a bit of a disappointment for me. I think I failed to connect to the characters, as there was nothing in any of them distinctive enough. Also, the evil they wanted to prevent was something that I did not fully comprehend. The bad guys were evil, off course, because they killed in order to obtain what they wanted. it’s just that it was not clear to me what they really wanted. The good guys felt too much like a cult to me, and the story was just too mystical to categorize this book as science fiction. I see the benefits of meditation, but how they sell it as a way of empowering everyone, felt a bit too much mumbo jumbo. I know this book as rave reviews, so I think it wasn’t just for me.

What I really enjoyed was Marni Penning’s narration. Her soothing voice trapped me from the start and it was the main reason that made me listening to this audiobook until the end. She did not only delivered heartfelt character interpretations but also knew how to create the right atmosphere that was needed for this story. I am looking forward to enjoying her voice again in another book.
