Acerca de esta escucha

Cassandra "Cassie" Finsbury has spent almost 25 years running for her life, hiding from everyone who knew her and hoping it was enough to keep her daughter safe. When she learns that she no longer has to run, she is determined to find Daniela again and hires private investigator Bailey Davenport, a retired FBI agent, who is more than up to the task. Bailey finds nothing more irresistible than a mystery and a challenge, and in Cassie she finds both.

Can Bailey find the key to unlock more than just Cassie's secrets? Finn and Oz are pulled into the world of extremists and must keep their wits about them to survive a deadly game of cat and mouse whilst Finn's growing need to find the mother she believed dead takes her on a roller-coaster journey.

Oz and Finn are back with a new world crisis to solve. The buyer for her father’s biological weapon is kidnapping scientists and killing them and their families when they refuse to make it for them. Can they keep the world’s biggest crisis at bay. Great suspense and love story. Great performance and author. Recommend.

this story was probably decent but the narration ruined it. I had to force myself to listen to it.

awful narration

Would you listen to Swordfish again? Why?

As much as I have been enjoying the storyline, I can not stand the narrator or her portrayal of the characters, especially after just having listened to Ladyfish.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Swordfish?

The surprise and disappointment when I heard the characters "voices" for the first time.
The inability to relate this book to Ladyfish (its predecessor) due to the lack of accents and change in "personas" of the characters.

How could the performance have been better?

If they had kept Heather Wilds as the narrator.

WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE THE NARRATOR??!!

The only thing is that when someone write fiction and uses history in it, the fact of history should be accurate and not fake, by bringing inaccurate historical facts the whole story is messed up...
shame...

Great story,

it was a surprise when I bought this book that it was a continuation of the other one Lady Fish, which was great. the narration was good , funny at times when it came to some.of the characters.
his book was engaging, exciting, lots of awww moments and some sweet tears.
there is a part that should come.with a disclaimer. as some could find it to be a trigger. the violently told rape is relived in this book more that when it's brought up in Lady Fish.
However this book was well written, very likeable characters and enjoyable story line.

I truly enjoyed this book

had to stop listening and read the book instead. the British accent is terrible. She makes the sex scenes uncomfortable to listen to. overall irritating.

horrible narrator

The plot in this sequel to Ladyfish is fun and complex. We get a new predictable love story, familiar characters, and some espionage that's actually interesting. Much more "story" than your average fan-fic style lesbian romance, which is a good thing! I just wish I'd read it instead of listening to it. The narrator is horrible to the point of grating.

First of all, Fin is British, she is not a prom queen prima donna. Her character is not written at all the way she is voiced, which is with no accent at all and a snooty, elementary school enunciation. Also, the narrator mispronounces words---often. Words like Valkyrie, and viscous (there is a lot of "viscious fluid" in this book) that are just nerve wracking.

Lastly, I have to say that I do love Oz. But I would love to smack her every time she says "baby" and receive a dollar for my efforts. I'd be richer than Trump! That's a writing thing, not a narration thing, but I know I could block it out from a printed version. If someone called me baby that often, I would run screaming to the hills.

Read this one--it's a fun and exciting story! But don't subject yourself to the narrated version.

Horrid narration

This without a doubt was the best story of this genre I have ever read/listened to. This is the first of Ms Bramhalls' offerings that I have read/listened to and I am totally blown away. The story involves two couples who are tied together without really knowing it. Ms Bramhill kept a great balance through out the book. It was almost like reading/listening two separate books until she weaved them together seamlessly. The pace was fast without being overwhelmed. I see this as Rizzoli and Isles, Cagney and Lacey, in a James Bondish type setting. The plot lines could have been taken directly out of news sources of today, frighteningly so. Being prior military and a cop to boot I found the story is believable and pretty much accurate. The only issue that I had dealing with the audio portion, and not necessarily her fault, was when she referred to the Britishs' MI6 as M(Sixteen) very minor. I was not aware of her previous offering of "Ladyfish" and as far as I am concerned, even though this is a sequel it can stand on its own. With that being said I will definitely read/listen to "Ladyfish." Wonderful job Andrea!!!

I really liked 'Ladyfish' and was glad to see this sequel. It lived up to it's original with story and characters. It would have been better with the same narrator. She wasn't bad, the accents were just different and mildly distracting at first. But I loved the story and the end and I'm glad that I found this book and this author. I will continue to read her books and you should too.

A good sequel

The series is captivating and riveting. Ms. Bramhall always does a great job of showing as many sides as possible while challenging our intellect.
