Entertaining, sort of swamp monster crossed with mana odor

Good short story. Kept me and my son entertained. Had interesting main character, couple of nice twists and amusing ending. I received this audiobook from the author narrator or publisher for free via audiobookblast in exchange for an unbiased review

Ghosts, Magic, and Treasure

SWAMP MONSTER VOODOO was a great little short story with the swamp monster living in a cabin in the swamp. He was looking for treasure but another ghost also wanted the treasure. One that the main character had just happened to have turned his wife into a squirrel. This was a neat story and I wish it had been longer. I hope JAMES LIVINGOOD writes more like this one.

To me, this audiobook wouldn't have been the same had anyone but J. SCOTT BENNETT narrated it. His southern drawl was excellent. His voice inflections were great and he made this a super entertaining listen.

good ole Southern gentleman monster

just a good ole' boy, raised right who just happens to be tuned into the half world of the dead and resembles a walking seven foot reptile.
the narrator gave a humorous and southern tinged narration while at the same time depicting a non human perspective of the humans foibles.
a good 45 minute listen

Short and entertaining

A short but enjoyable bayou story. An amusing tale of ghosts, rednecks and a friendly, intelligent swamp monster. The narrator did a great job of the different accents and really made the story entertaining.

Interesting enough..

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Not really because it's not something I normally would read.

Would you be willing to try another book from James Livingood? Why or why not?

If it's anything like Swamp Monster Voodoo, probably not.

Which scene was your favorite?

When the old man grins and showed the swamp monster the squirrel.

Did Swamp Monster Voodoo inspire you to do anything?

Not really.

Any additional comments?

Ever since I started getting books from Audiobook Blast, I have been pretty lucky. Some books I have received are awesome. Especially love the one that I would have normally not picked up and it turned out to be a really good read. But there are few that are questionable, this is one of them. Is this book really bad? No, but it's not really good either. *I received a free copy of this audio book for an honest review.*
