For Pendergast fans

If you love the Pendergast series, this one doesn’t disappoint.
I wouldn’t recommend spending the extra on the book track, the background sounds are not necessarily adding to the book content.

Murder in Medicine Creek

This was book 4 in the Pendergast series. It continues the amazing partnership of Preston and Child. Both fantastic authors individually, they are magic together. This book finds Pendergast in the sticks, in vacation, to solve a disturbing murder mystery. They perfectly capture the spirit and essence of a dying small town, from the atmosphere, the weather and the populace. This investigation also confounds Psndergast, since it is like no other. We also meet lovely Corrie Swanson, a young Goth girl with guts. The protagonist is quite a twist. It is a tense thrill ride, magnificently narrated by Scott Brick. Hours of juicy Pendergast goodness that I just didn't want to end, and what an ending!

Slow

All Preston and Child Books are good. To me they have an excessive amount of superfluous detail and it would be nice if they were about 2/3 as long. Still I can’t stop listening to them at 1.25 or hidgher

One of the better Pendergast novels

Love this story. Shows the human side of Pendergast at the end. One of the better written and full story in one book novels.
