About this listen

Georgia Williams had traveled a hard road from being a sheltered preacher's daughter to becoming a struggling single mother. Determined to build a more secure future for her baby girl, she takes a job as a night nurse at Jericho Military Hospital. But her precarious world shifts yet again when she meets her newest patient.

A marine who nearly died fighting for his country, Lieutenant Christian Howard is a man of duty, honor, and deep desires. Something about the scarred war hero touches Georgia, awakening feelings she's tried to keep hidden. One passionate night together changes everything, erupting with consequences neither of them could have foreseen. Now Georgia faces the most momentous decision of her life. Should she trust Christian - a man she barely knows - with devastating secrets from her past? Could this be a love that will heal and save them both?

More than just forgiveness.

This was a good story. Her resilience and her focus on her daughter helped her immensely. The connection and eventual love for Christian was just what she needed.

The narrator is the only one thing that I would change. She doesn't always convey the emotions needed when telling a story.

Tears. What a novel!

This book was better than the first book, in my opinion. Maybe because the dynamic between the heroine and her father is so similar to mine. What happened between them in the end brought me to tears.

I also enjoyed so much the relationship between the main characters. It was refreshing not to have so much turmoil between two people you want together. I hope I haven't said too much there.

I love the narrator's voice; the only thing that is a drawback is that she doesn't differentiate voices enough and you have to use context to figure out who is talking at the moment. But her voice is soothing and matches the tone of the book very well.

Overall, this book was an awesome "read!"

Great read

The story starts a little slow but soon gets very interesting. I appreciated that the author didn’t give the characters unnecessary drama. There was just enough conflict threaded with real life to make it a great read. I wish the narrator had a southern accent for the female main character. It would have helped distinguish the two main characters better.

Greattttt

I really liked this book and would recommend this book. I wish the narrator had been better with each character voice. That would have been great. Because the Marines and older people voices would have been great if the narrator had changed her voice. I was glad Georgia didn't give in to Robert 's threats. It had a great storyline and sexual storylines. I wish this book was a movie or TV show. I hate it's over. I will look for more books by this author. Good job!

Love will come in time...

For Georgia life has become hard. Life sends her a blessing but not in your face blessing. She finds that life has a different route of her to take. Christian finds that his life has changed and he is not sure if its for the better. One day he finds that he gets an angel. And then latter finds that his angel needs a blessing. He will be her blessing and the rest will come later.

Georgia and Christian finds working together maybe a little more difficult when they dont communicate with each other.

Jamie Pope brought a story of life, tragedy, hope, and love.

Extremely slow.

I had been hesitant to listen to this book after listening to Stay for Me while back. Although the storyline was good, the narrator was so dry and boring it made this a difficult book to get into. It didn't really pull me in until about chapter 16, mostly because of the narrator but the story itself was more drawn out than it needed to be or maybe it just seemed that way because of the narrator. Sometimes I couldn't tell who was speaking in the book because the narrator didn't create any difference in each characters voice at all. I think I would have liked it better if I'd read the book in print rather than listening to this audio version.

Very nice story.

The main female character is a little mushy and dim witted in a few scenes. The story took a few turns I did not expect which is a big plus for me. The narrator could have speeded things up; the slow pace drove me a bit crazy, otherwise she did a nice job.

Narrator low voice = sad romance story

I tried to listen to another book by this author but had a hard time getting past the sad feel of the story. I wanted to give them a second try hoping i would like the characters. The cover was misleading. I thought the heroine was AA but the description (red hair and freckles) was not what I expected. I would have continued listening but the narrator’slow and sad tone was not what I was looking for in a romance selection.

I Loved It!!!

This was an awesome story with awesome characters. The narrator did a great job....The setting in the military hospital was a good idea although I think rat face deserved more words thrown her way. I loved Christian and Georgia who was indeed a stubborn woman. She had more forgiveness than a lot of people considering her daddy who gave Christian folk a terrible name.It only took death standing at his front door to change him. I have qued up the next book as I type. I am so pleased with this story, five stars all the way!
