About this listen

Stasio is a basketball player who lives in the Chicago area. He has been exposed to the big three sports: football, baseball, and basketball. Tennis wasn't a sport played much in his neighborhood. While at a park playing, his basketball rolls over to the tennis court. He watches two tennis players play, he finds a lone tennis ball, and he a meets an unlikely instructor to help him start his tennis journey.

What a Great Story!!!

I totally enjoyed this story. It was such a pleasure to hear a story that I could totally identify with because I also loved a culturally atypical sport 😊 What a joy! Thank you for telling Stasio's story Eric!!

Stasio finds a great game

It is important that children of color get the opportunity to play the game of tennis. While courts are readily available for inner city youth, instruction is not. Tennis lessons are priced outside of poverty level incomes. Sometimes an athlete can pick up a racquet and instinctively learn and execute all of the various shots in this complex game., by it is rare.
Stasio Finds Tennis introduces tennis as an option to minority children who may not be big enough or quick enough to dominate or even participate in a Big 3 sport.
It was a good journey and I am glad I took the ride

Very Good Story!

This book is a children's book helping kids find their passion through sports, every child is different, so each child will develop a love for a sport of their choice. Then their are some children who may find a love and passion for something else, embrace their artistic ability and find joy in life! Thank you Dad for sharing this story! God bless!
