About this listen

In the ninth addition to the New York Times best-selling Spy School series, Ben Ripley faces his nemesis, Murray Hill, on the high seas.

Thanks to the evidence Ben uncovered in his investigation of the Croatoan, the CIA has tracked his nemesis, Murray Hill, to Central America, where they believe he is boarding the world’s biggest cruise ship, The Emperor of the Seas, on its maiden voyage around the world.

His mission: Pose as part of a family, with Alexander and Catherine Hale as his parents, Erica as his sister, and his best friend Mike as his brother, to find out what Murray is plotting.

At first, it sounds exciting to have a mission on the most glamorous ocean liner on Earth, but as usual, nothing goes according to plan. There is action, danger, and plenty of surprises as Ben and his team quickly find themselves in hot water.

I thought it was awesome

I loved the point where it mentioned snakes alive in it. You should do a book with teddy and Ben in it!

Absolutely LOVE Stuart Gibbs

The story was great, the narrator is excellent, and the characters are awesome. Gibbs made an excellent book. I would definitely recommend this story and all other spy school novels.

Easiest book to read in my life!

With audible instead of taking a week to get half way through the book I can finish it completely in about half a day. All of the ways to “customize” your reading experience was way better than any other app I have tried! I definitely recommend the book and this 10/10 reading app!

Simply Amazing!

This book and series are simply amazing! They are great for young and older minds alike.
I could write an entire series of essays supporting my opinion, in fact I have.
To understand what I mean, just read or listen to it, it’s as simple as that.
Thank you for writing this book Stuart Gibbs!

One of my favorites books of all time!

This review was written by my 10 year old who has ready all of Stuart Gibbs's books.

This book is on the top 10 of my favorite books of all time for a lot of reasons and that’s because it’s a book about spies which mean who is love. And the other reason is I mean it’s not like James Bond or anything but it’s more of a book where kids are in a situation where they have to solve the problem with out violence And with their brains. There is still violence in it but you can’t see it since it’s only a knob you got to imagine your mind and there’s a thing I love about novels but there’s no I’ll take it out of the house with all of the stuff that people can relate to like cruises in the Bahamas It’s It’s just like a vacation like a giant Hi spy vacation that takes place inside a book that gives you the idea that you are a spy you can go to the characters that’s nothing I love about sur up with other books like Charlie Thorne and it’s just a great book series books 1 through nine spy school all the way to well spy squad see this novel which is probably the best of all for one reason the way problem-solving surviving and vacation which is like that People that people can relate to.
