The Ultimate Collection

Malcolm X was very intellectual in all ways. Like he said” When you travel, you broaden your scope”
“We have to have human rights before we can secure civil rights. We must be respected as humans before we can be recognized as citizens”
Mean while Democrats left the Borders open
Now I know they are here for wrong reasons.
Malcolm X the GOAT.

Great Collection

I was discouraged by the first review that I read because the listener did not like the audio quality, the inclusion of audio that was not a speech from Malcolm X, and the repeated clips. I don’t disagree with those points.

I must add that the context of some speeches are lost. This is because the clips are not in chronological order.

That stated, this is an excellent collection to listen to AFTER the listener reads the Autobiography of Malcolm X (the Spike Lee movie Malcolm X is not an appropriate substitute). When listening to this collection as a supplement to knowing Malcolm X’s life story from his perspective, his words (and even some of the clips not from his speeches) have much more significance and educational value.

Could have gotten five stars

I love Malcolm X, however the chapter would end mid-sentence in some parts; most frustrating.

Speeches, yes; Organized or labeled? No

You will get to hear Malcolm X and that gives this collection value. However, there are no labels of date, location, interviewers. etc for speeches. As other reviewers pointed out clips from movie and other speakers are included. At the end of chapter 1 is some random few seconds of a clip. At minimum, the chapters could have been labeled with the speech date and location.

revealing

I think the best way to understand what Malcolm X was about is to listen to or read his actual words instead of reading ABOUT his actual words subjected to someone else's interpretation. The reasons for his rejection of the non-violent response to racism is thoroughly explained through his numerous speaches. An excellent audiobook that every woke individual should listen to.

Wasn't an ultimate collection at all

brought this collection to listen to Malcolm's speeches, not Louis Farrakahan or Denzel Washington.

Mixed information

While this is a jumble of fictional movie clips, famous people, etc… the majority are the speeches of Mr. Malcolm X and it’s wonderful to hear a broader arc of his thoughts over time through his direct words.
