Kirk always weaves a good story!
I am pleasantly surprised by his 2 Hoon books. when he was introduced in the Logan series, I wasn't sure if I'd like him as the main character, but I do, he is a good man under his rough exterior. My only complaint with JD Kirk is the copious amount of swearing. In my everyday life I rarely hear any!! Trust me, we get hurt and angry, too!

Really entertaining
Great story, lots of funny one-liners. I wish there was just a bit less language, but enjoyed it nevertheless. If you're sensitive to swearing, you won't like it.

Interesting and Twisty
I listened to this and the first book in the series. The writing, plot, and narrator performance are top-notch. My favorite part of these stories is the incredibly unique and funny analogies going through Bob's mind. He is mostly a believable action hero in the scenarios because of his military background...still...it's best to just enjoy the ride and not scuttle at what you picture his survival rate would be in reality. Bob is like a John Wick meets Zoolander in Home Alone. It's fun...Once you tune out F^€k 12 times minute.

Great new series!
Just when I thought I couldn't love JD Kirk's writing more than I do already he brings us Bob Hoon as the main character! I found this 2nd book to be just as great as the first and I certainly hope there will be a number 3. As usual the brilliant narration of Angus King helps bring the characters to life . Great read. Good on ya, Mr Kirk!

Please please please!!!
Please don’t let this be the last of Robert Hoon. He is a great character, love his wit. A lot of swearing and if you can see past it and hear his humour then he will keep you smiling. Love the small association with DI Jackman, keeping their relationship going. Narrator is the best!

Robert Hoon seems invincible
Apart from the swearing and that John McClane or even Chuck Norris have nothing on Bob Hoon, a good story.

Exceptional storytelling!
JD Kirk never disappoints! Who knew that he could make me actually like Hoon? This story weaves perfectly in between the DCI Jack Logan books. So glad I didn’t miss it!
