Fallion’s enemies have decided that they must control him or, failing that, destroy him. He is only a child, but he is the heir to Gaborn’s kingdom and so must flee to the ends of the earth to avoid the destruction of all that Gaborn accomplished.

This was a good story told well, with inflection. Although, I liked the first few books better than this one.

Best Fantasy Series

This series is my all-time favorite. It's so moving, and it's very unique. The characters have stuck with me for years after listening and reading. I love it. This installment is one of the best in the series, I cannot recommend these books highly enough. Enjoy.

Never judge a book by the cover

I’m so glad these books are included in the free catalog. I wouldn’t have choose these books if I had to use a credit and I wouldn’t have been missing out on a great epic series!
I’ve found few books out of the catalog that I’ve like I’m glad I gave this one a chance.
I’ll use a credit for his new book coming out in April. Thank you David Farland and Ray Porter who bought the character alive!!

Essentially a new series

Big shift in the direction of the series with this book. We are now following the next generation. I'm am interested to see where this goes next. We still get to listen to the same great narrator though.

Riveting

It took about 30 minutes for me to become engaged in this book. It was truly riveting. Every book in the series has been fantastic, truly fantastic.
