Publisher's summary

Humphrey Westcott, Earl of Riverdale, has died, leaving behind a fortune that will forever alter the lives of everyone in his family - including the daughter no one knew he had.

Anna Snow grew up in an orphanage in Bath knowing nothing of the family she came from. Now she discovers that the late Earl of Riverdale was her father and that she has inherited his fortune. She is also overjoyed to learn she has siblings. However, they want nothing to do with her or her attempts to share her new wealth. But the new earl's guardian is interested in Anna.

Avery Archer, Duke of Netherby, keeps others at a distance. Yet something prompts him to aid Anna in her transition from orphan to lady. As London society and her newfound relatives threaten to overwhelm Anna, Avery steps in to rescue her and finds himself vulnerable to feelings and desires he has hidden so well and for so long.

Featured Article: The Audible Essentials—The Top 100 Romance Listens of All Time

With thousands of romance titles releasing every year across a huge swath of subgenres, it’s a tall order to choose the best among the bunch. So our romance editors listened, debated, and listened some more to bring you this list of the 100 must-hear romances on Audible. From Regency to contemporary, love at first sight to second-chance romance and every trope in between, there’s a story here for every romance fan.

My new Regency series obsession

I don't know how it took me so long to discover Mary Balogh, but I'm going to forgive myself and move on (and go devour every story in the utterly delightful Westcott series). Like many great Regency series, this one follows a large aristocratic family, with each member getting their HEA in turn. In the opener, Someone to Love, Anna Snow, raised in an orphanage but supported by an unnamed benefactor, is called to London to "learn her future". There she finds herself seated in a large parlor surrounded by some of the top of the "ton", with a solicitor at the front of the room announcing to everyone that the late Earl of Westcott was a bigamist, and his only legitimate child is Anna (from now on to be called Lady Anastasia Westcott). Needless to say all hell breaks loose, and thus kicks off a completely charming saga which ticks off all the soapy boxes you want in such a series. Don't mind me, I'll just be busy listening over here for the foreseeable future. —Emily C., Audible Editor

Great story

Engaging, interesting, heart-warming story. I enjoyed that most of the book allowed you to use your imagination rather than resorting to sex scenes which show little writing talent. Toning down the explicit scene it did include would have added class.

Sweet Regency love story

Both the male and female characters are somewhat peculiar. They both have a tendency to hide how they feel. The story explains that although they came from different life experiences their stories over lap.
So these two are a match made in heaven.

Avery is one of the reasons I listened to this series. Love the narrator! But Avery though! Love him.

Other side of the blanket

This was a well writhen rags to riches story about a orphan becoming the true heir. The narrator was perfect for the story. This was well worth the credit. I would read the next story in the series.
