WOW!

Hey, thank you. Just like a picture has is more than 1000 words, this book the way it was narrated and the story was more than all the pictures even if I could see. It blew my mind and I learned about myself through it, I can’t explain it in words I wish I can. It was like a wrap on the top of the head, it made me think. That is only a very pale explanation. Please and thank you!!!

Unimaginative Text

Speaking as someone who has been blind all my life, I did not like this book. It wasn’t that the information presented wasn’t accurate. It was. It just seemed unimaginative and preachy. I also thought the final sentence about blind kids doing karate was random and seemed out of place with the rest of the story. I understand the point the author might have been trying to make, that blind kids can enjoy the same activities as any other kid, but this could have been presented in a less awkward way, and I think children would engage better with this information presented as a story, with a character who is blind.
