Narration was appalling

I'd loaded this book then disappeared to a place without internet so was the only book I had.

Otherwise I wouldn't have listened to it. The story was ok but the narration was the same singsong right the way through.

Never again.

good book

I am really enjoying this author. the timing on the recording could have been better with a rest between different characters and scenes.

Fun

This book was fun to read even though it was not what I expected. What a tangled web we weave.

Love

I love a good story about falling in love. Jill Mansell books always has a twist.

Loved loved loved this story!

The characters were wonderfully written and the intertwining romantic and not so romantic relationships kept me engaged all the way through to a happy ending. I just love it when it all ends so well.

Disappointed

All the major characters were unlikable and annoying. The story was quite boring. Jill Mansell is better than this.

Interwoven story lines, terrible narration

I like the way Jill Mansell always weaves multiple storylines together. All the men are boorish and inexcusable. And yet, the women excuse them. Some of the references, like not having a cell phone or watching DVDs have not aged well. Dislike the narrator’s posh sing-songy drone and abrupt edits between scene changes.

Not my favorite

I usually love her books, but the characters in this one, I found very frustrating.

Hard Pass!

I’m a loyal reader of Jill Mansell, but this was terrible. There is not a single likable character. The ending wasn’t at all worth taking the time to get to. The male characters treat women like prostitutes. It’s hard to follow who’s sleeping with who. The narrator changes scenes without even taking a breath so you have to listen closely to know which awful love triangle you’re in the middle of. Don’t waste your time!
